After the sermon our pastor calls the "Ministry Team" to come forward then he invites those who want prayer to come forward. Those on the "Ministry Team" pray for those who comes forward.
I have served on the "Ministry Team" in the past but now I only come forward if it appears there are not enough on the team.
I am uncomfortable there and I do not know why but the fact is I am. It is not that I disagree with how it is done. I cannot explain why I am uncomfortable. Maybe because as a pastor I did it differently for many years. Not saying either way is right or wrong.
The last few years I pastored I did not have an altar call every service. Many times I knew the people and they did not respond when I did give a call, so unless there were people present I did not know I did not give a altar call unless I felt I should that day.
