I have been wrestling with this all morning. I am sad and hurt. I have been asking God all morning... When... When is it going to stop... when will we stop hating... when will we stop blaming... when will we start seeking... when will we start doing... when? Who are we? We, who claim to be His children, we, His followers. we, who say we belong to Him. we, who sit in His sanctuary. we, who stand behind the pulpit. we...
We say America needs revival, we say America needs God, we say... a lot of things, but my Bible tells me that judgement starts in the house of the Lord. America will never receive what she is needing until the church admits she needs the Lord, repents, turns from her wicked ways and seeks the Lord.
I feel empty this morning, I feel ashamed that I haven't sought Him like I should. Banning guns, blaming political parities, and protesting against skin color is not the answer America needs, she needs Jesus and we who stand in the pulpits bears the responsibility of proclaiming His name in the streets of our cities, the halls of out courts and in the schools in this land. |
