I am all for "young" people being in leadership roles. I would just like to point out that over it's history, the COG has promoted what is now considered younger people to leadership positions. Prime example would be Dr. Charles W. Conn, T. L. Lowery and Dr. Ray H. Hughes. It may be hard to remember that both of these former leaders were actually quite young when they were selected to the Executive Committee. I believe Dr. Hughes, Dr. Conn, and Dr. Lowery were all in their mid to late 40's. R. Leonard Carroll was in his 40's when he assumed leadership as GO.

So, Dr. Baker's point is well taken, and we need to remember the selection of younger men is not foreign based on those chosen in the past. Those of us that are getting older need to stop and remember that these great men in the past were quite young at the time.
