Do you preach that God is a sinner? No, He is kind to evil and ungrateful men. |

Jesus explaining the Father...
“But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 31 Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. 32 If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. 35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." Luke 6:27-36
He loves His enemies.
He does good to those who hate Him.
He gives to everyone who asks.
He is kind to the evil and ungrateful.
Lk 6:27-35
Your Father is no sinner.
He doesn't give so you'll owe Him. He gives because He's good.
"If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount." Luke 6:34
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men." Luke 6:35
How does your Father feel about His enemies? He loves them.
How does your Father treat His enemies? He does good to them.
How does your Father give? Expecting nothing in return.
He "is kind to ungrateful and evil men". _________________ I'm not saved because I'm good. I'm saved because He's good!

And this same Jesus... |
maqqebet |
Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; and those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, this who committed evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." - John 5:25-29
And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of ire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, closed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and H will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "King of kings, and Lord of Lords." - Revelation 19:11-16 _________________ The Hammer

He is kind and forgiving to sinners FOR CHRIST's SAKE, and based on the merits of the cross WHEN sinners obey the gospel. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

Yes, we must obey the Gospel.
He's not just kind and forgiving for Christ's sake. Christ's coming and death simply expressed the depth of how God so loved the world and much more He valued us than sparrows or lilies. He loves His Son, but His Son's gift demonstrated the love of God for us, while we were sinners.
"16 But not all have obeyed the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ." Rom. 10:16,17
Faith accesses His favor, His care, His provision and His protection. We obeyed the Gospel by believing the word of Christ.
When our unbelief in His goodness (freely offering the Tree of Life - Jesus) causes us to seek life apart from Him (the Life), we are judged by our own good and evil and experience death - the fruit of our own good and evil. _________________ I'm not saved because I'm good. Jesus isn't schizophrenic. The message isn't bipolar.
The Father loves and desires to us to freely enjoy a finished work.
When we, like Adam, don't believe in the goodness and generosity of the Father, we find ourselves partaking of a system of good and evil that results in judgment and death.
But when we believe in the goodness of the Father, we find that He died our death and took our judgment so that we would not come into judgment, but would pass out of death and into life. _________________ I'm not saved because I'm good. I'm saved because He's good!

The Apostle Paul...
Quote: | And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. | (Eph. 4:32)
Saying that we are forgiven for anything other than Christ's sake is salvation by works. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

Jesus' message, indeed, is not bi-polar |
maqqebet |
but it is balanced...
Your presentations very often aren't, viz., you presentation of the Law...
It is described in a manner that you have suggested on many, many occasions, and no one can argue we are saved by faith and not works of the Law.
However, Paul had many good things to say about the inspired Scriptures, including the Law.
The context of what and why Paul wrote is vital and this is often ignored. _________________ The Hammer
