Which is it?

Family reports they chanted a Muslim prayer the last hour of his life. Does he get in? If he does, should you bother preaching at your church tomorrow, since it doesn't matter?

He repudiated his Christian baptism and upbringing when he converted to Islam. I have been unable to find any indication that he ever reconverted to follow Christianity. So I'm going to have to say he's not in a good place at all now, unless of course unconditional eternal security is true. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

I can only say, I hope he went to heaven. But it looks like he made a very bad decision that will cost him eternal life without Christ.

I choose Christ, I choose life abundantly.

We should start a game show since we are so good at judging people's hearts. Heaven or Hell?

A preacher friend of mine said this a a funeral once.

"Ain't it funny that nobody goes to hell these days."

Isn't that sad? It's almost like people are excited that others go to hell. I was raised in such an environment. God's gonna getcha!! Everything sent us to hell when I was a boy.

The truth of the matter, society does say that people are going to hell. Rapists, racists and animal killers are going. There are lots of people going according to society. It has nothing to do with spiritually. It has to do with good people go to heaven, bad people go to hell. That's how they view it.

I am sorry if you are excited about whether folks go to hell Eddie.
Hopefully no one else on this thread feels that way.

This thread was prompted by pics on facebook showing Ali and Prince laughing it up in heaven together.

I just wanted to know if everyone else feels that way.

I am not the gatekeeper of heaven or hell...but in a day and age of everyone getting into heaven...if everyone feels that way...why bother with church?
Isn't that the reason church exists? ...to know our destiny after this short life is over? to find the way, the truth and the life? If it doesn't matter, why bother?

Ali did some good things, no doubt. "I ain't got no quarrel with no Viet Cong" was way ahead of the curve. Does that get you to heaven? Does Muhammed get his followers in, as well? Confucius? Joseph Smith? Was Jesus incorrect when he said no one comes to the Father but by me?

It seems holy to say no one is in danger of hell fire, but did the apostles teach that?

If it doesn't matter, I have been to church for the last time.
If it doesn't matter, I have shared Jesus with others for the last time.
If it doesn't matter, and God lets everyone in, and straightens them all out in heaven, I am wasting my time talking about it - I can be more productive elsewhere.
If it doesn't matter, I am posting on Actscelerate for the last time.

I don't believe that just anything will send you to Hell. That said, I don't know how there can be any uncertainty, based on the Bible, about somebody who publicly renounced Christ, said He wasn't a Christian any more, and was now a Muslim, and maintained his Muslim faith all the way up until his death, unless perhaps unconditional eternal security happens to be true. We are not the judge of anyone's soul. It is NOT our job. We can quote those scriptures and that is enough. I remember when Mother Teresa died. Someone at the Baptist church where we were attending at the time said "it's too bad she's burning in hell right now." It's just not our job to judge anyone's soul. By doing so, we are doing the job of the Father. He has not asked us to do His job.

When a man is dying, who among us knows what his relationship with God is? Who among us can get into the heart and soul of another and know for sure what they may or may not be saying to the Father? Nobody, so stop it!

Jesus, who IS the judge of all hearts, said, "Out of the abundance/overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." Ali's own words, from his own heart, were that he was not a Christian any longer, that Muhammad was the prophet of Allah, and that he was now a Muslim. This faith of Islam he maintained until his death.

His own words are what judge him as lost. To hear some tell it, I suppose we shouldn't say even Hitler is in Hell, since we supposedly don't know his heart in his last moments in this life.

Then, let HIS words tell it. Not ours. Still, nobody knows what was going on in his heart and soul before he passed. And, I'm not saying he went to Heaven, lest anyone think that is what I believe. I just don't judge a person's soul. It's not my job. Acts-pert Poster

it's not our job to make this call. Yes, their lives may be an indicator of where they went but God.......

During my first heart attack I was speaking to God in my head on what could have been my death bed. Jonah 2:7 As my life was slipping away, I remembered the LORD. And my earnest prayer went out to you in your holy Temple.

with what measure you mete...

I don't think most of us would want to be handcuffed to Cassius Clay at the day of judgment, but do we really have to post a thread abotu whethr he went to heaven or hell.

At least I haven't seen a thread like that about Jan Crouch.

As Eddie has stated, it is purely hypothetical - since we don't know about his last moments.

But - shouldn't we all consider the final results of his/our life?

Can't we do some introspection at the death of a famous person, and ask, what will my last moments be like? and after that, the judgment.

Or is Muhammad just as clear a path to heaven as Jesus?

For crying out loud, Billy Graham was posting what a great guy Ali was.
Is that what gets you into heaven? Pounding another guys face in, posting about civil rights, pointing out you don't have no quarrel with the Viet Cong...is that what gets you in?

Or should all Muslims continue on the path they are on - and see Ali in heaven? Is that the message Christian ministers should proclaim to all Muslims?
