 Wonder Who Will Be Appointed to the Center for Pastoral Excellence? |

| If Bill Isaacs is appointed as a AB, or some other position at GA, wonder who will take the helm at the Center for Pastoral Excellence? |

| My money is on them shutting it down. That was an office created, yep a created position, so BI would have a job. I wonder why he didn't pastor or something. Oh well.[/i] |

I agree it should be shut down...but not for the cynical reason stated above.
He had a unique set of gifts suited for that position that the COG leveraged.
If he goes to another position, we should wait UNTIL SOMEONE ELSE has the same background and gifts. (and enough funding as well)
We don't need to just slot someone in there because no one else that I know of has his unique gifts and experiences.

I think Bill Isaacs is a tremendous leader who constantly "Thinks Younger." I would love to see him take his gifts and talents to a broader audience.
Having said that ... the ministry that he has led over the last two years is needed.
What should we do with it?
Appoint .... Kevin Lloyd .. the Executive Pastor at Stevens Creek Church of God to the post and allow him to lead it from his current position.
The denomination would save money and grow leaders.

I was only repeating what we were told when it was created. (He is good)
However, do we have the money? Can we do it similarly for less, or no, money
If Marty has a guy that will do it for no charge from his current job, we can thank Marty and Stevens Creek for allowing him the leeway to do the same job at no expense to the COG.
A win-win. Well, at least a win for the COG.
