 Why post about inner-family problems was deleted |

A post appeared that contained some inner-family squabble info with one person trying to use the board to get their message to another member or x-member of their family.
No disrespect to any who are involved, but this is not a forum for that kind of inner-family personal information. These kinds of family situations are painful, but they have to be worked out within the family.
Note of caution for those attempting to post negative information about a family member or x-family member: Some people do not know it BUT just because something is on the internet, does not protect the poster from litigation. Just as it is illegal to try and ruin someone's reputation in a newspaper, using the internet for that is also illegal.
Trashing, or attempting to trash someone's reputation publicly, is not a wise thing to do, the one who is the target of negative information, has every right to press legal charges. Those legal charges can be filed against the one who made the post AND the person they quoted.
So, unless one has nearly unlimited resources to hire defense attorneys and pay court costs, it is maybe wise NOT to go public with negative information about individuals.

Nope, she got all riled up when I told her about the Acts thread about womenfolk in ministry. She said she had been ministerin in the church fer years an it was about time fer a little reconition. I told her, I said, "Momma, the Minutes won't allow it." She didn't like it a little bit.  |
