It is a sad story. There are sins that have no permanent stains on life, and there are sins that the blood of Jesus can was as white as snow, but the fact of life still blatantly says, "Whatsoever you sow, you will also reap."

I do sympathize with folks such as this, I was blessed to have been raised in a home where Jesus was taught. I knew right from wrong. I have met men in the military who had never once been given guidelines about life. I imagine many girls are in the same boat when it comes to porn. WE here on this forum can see how a woman could be marked for life after being involved with porn.

I hope the lady does not return to porn, and I hope she finds peace in our Lord. Some of us are so blessed to have lived in the World without being ruined. Embarassed

she sees the adult film industry as okay. She just feels that people who are in the adult film industry deserve respect and what she did was respectable.

She did say she should have stayed in the industry to make money because no one wants her for anything else. That's the sad part. She tells truth - and doesn't even realize it.

Over the years we all have met folk who were pleasant and good company. Then later if you learn that one guy was a stock broker, you may smile and assume he was successful. It would not be the same if you learned later the guy was a porn star.

Meeting someone that is pleasant we seldom concern ourselves with their choice of livelihood. There have been men and women in great professions who brought discredit to that profession. Several men I have known I wish they had picked another profession other than ministry, because they brought discredit and cast a shadow on the church in general.

I am sure I could forgive and fellowship with someone who had been in the porn world, but I would probably have a distaste in the back of my mind that would be hard to handle. It is hard to explain, but some 'occupations' do not fit my classifications of 'a job'.

Since I do not keep up with porn stars, I could have befriended one over the years and not known it. As a matter of fact I did get to know a person who identified as a writer and we had several long visits. My wife was very impressed with the lady who had two toddlers, and asked me to order one of the lady's books, I did. Mama threw it away when she realized it was porn.

In the circles you and I travel, we may never know it if we came in daily contact with a former porn star, unless the person themselves told us. Shocked

Aside from the fact that she'd need to cover years on her resume, maybe the reason she can't get a job is that her potential employers could have watched porn, and know enough about it to actually recognize her face and voice. Maybe Hollywood is a small town, or maybe she puts her porn career on her acting resume. if she worked somewhere besides Hollywood, maybe she could get around that.

If she went to college late in life and started her resume after that, used her real name, and interviewed enough, she could probably get a job as a nurse. Honestly, though, I think not hiring or letting a nurse or school teacher go because he she'd been a porn actress should be legal, especially school teachers. Just imagine the boys in a middle school or high school being shown the teachers old nudie pics, which would probably happen every year as the rumor circulated.
