Now someone needs to define "The Establishment."

Groups of elitists close to the center of power of both parties who make a living off of government (lobbyists, strategists, etc) who do not want any major changes to be made that would cause their services to be obsolete. They are joined by government elitists (Congressman, Senators) who enjoy the perks a cozy association with the lobbyists/strategists can bring. Thus any talk of shrinking government or strict adherence to the Constitution is seen as a danger to their lifestyle.

Yes, he shares some conservative attributes, he's a populist-conservative. As for the other remarks, I thought we were having a grown-up conversation, but I guess I'll respond. He has espoused the same positions as Obama on everything, and still does on some.

Shall we take a closer look at those supposed similarities with Obama? What do you perceive those to be?

Sure, but just a short list
Has espoused
1. abortion completely up to the Mother, up until the 9th month, "I'm very big on abortion"
2. Government mandated healthcare
3. George Bush bad
4. Hillary Clinton great
5. Supported bailouts
6. Wanted an assault weapons ban
7. Gay marriage

Still does (these are during this campaign)
1. Government single-payer healthcare
2. Planned Parenthood does a lot of good
3. gay marriage (I think he's not really clear on it now, I think he'll get really clear soon). for now he has at least said he will further the progress made by the LGBT "community"
4. Neutral on Israel
5. Won't tear up the Iran deal on day one (instead will "really, really, really make sure they keep up their end")

It tickles me when he says stuff like "really, really, really" as if saying three times in a row is some how more effective. He does that a lot. I guess I am being what some would call "hyper-critical" but four years of that...I don't know Sad

The establishment is anyone who doesn't agree with me, and that can vary by who is speaking.

Politics in the world is amazing. A candidate can be an x&%$^^ one day and the next can be the answer to all our problems. I am always amazed at the mud slinging, knowing that one must think: "I do win, one of these guys might be my running mate or I will need them for support." Wild...

I will support the nominee even if I have called him a liar and a son of one legal parent! Confused

I'm OK with someone voting for Trump if that is their choice.

What I don't like is that because I make a conscience decision to not vote for him I'm somehow being swayed by the establishment or media.

For 30 + years, my vote has always been for the candidate I liked or against a candidate I disliked (i.e. trusted), no matter the party politics or platform.

There is enough insulting on the board to go around. Being called insulting names for 'considering' Trump such as RS, NBF and I (even the Board owner) have been called, is sort of saying saying we are naive and gullible. When some of the same group were so gullible a few weeks to think Carson was a Christian.

This season has been an eye opener. Who knows what will happen? Citizens of the USA have a right to pick a candidate they want. Some Christians will vote for Hillary. Cool .......................................... Embarassed

Like I said Cojak , trump has done more to divide this country in 6 months than Obama has done in 7 years....

Does truth matter to us as Christians anymore? Serious question...a couple weeks ago, after Trump's MI and MS wins, he broke out what he claimed were his "Trump Steaks". Only, they were Bush Brothers steaks, still vacuum-sealed in packaging that some Trump campaign worker didn't even fully de-label. According to the Shaper Image site, Trumps steaks are a thing of the past. Yet he pushes them as if they are current hot sellers. Truth issues.

He lied on NBC's Today show, minutes after an ABC interview, when he was asked about the anti-Trump ad featuring women of all stripes repeating the horrible things he's said about women, up to Megyn Kelly. He told ABC he'd seen the ad, and even credited Romney with it. Then he told NBC minutes later that he had not seen it. Truth issues.

Outright lies. Deception. And some of you think he's better than Hillary? He IS Hillary, at a slower speed. Both will take us eventually to the same place. He's a NYC liberal, and yeah, I believe he's conning the public. He's a reality TV guy, and this is a game to him.

Am I a "never-Trumper"? Yes. I am because I believe Trump embodies the worst of our society. If he's playing with truth now, what happens if he gets in the WH?

No one is perfect, I get that. But this is a time for men to stand up for what they believe. Am I going to stand for what God says is good and righteous, or am I going to vote to get along another 4 years?

This may be sacreligous to some, but I don't equate righteousness with patriotism. There are times when God calls us to stand up for what is right, even if others ridicule or shame them for doing so. The America I grew up in is history now. Our values have been redefined. We are seriously at this point? We need revival here. That means a steep price. Are we willing to pay it?

I can hear the crowd shouting to Shadrach and his buddies to just bow down. I hope and pray we stand tall.

Please look at how I described the "establishment" and explain how my explanation in any way is one of "anyone who does not agree with me".

Give it a rest. This nation was divided way before Trump ran for President. Do you think GOP voters weren't mad at the establishment until Trump told them to be? And FYI, Jesus is the biggest divider that has ever walked the earth.

I agree with that, of course that was with the help of the media and several others who took the bait. This whole season is a nightmare. Embarassed
