Yeah, I like it too.
He faced those university officials head on with the cameras rolling and let 'em have it! He communicated his reasoning well and there faults. He was very succinct.
Angry and it showed, yet he was able to still communicate the problem and why he did what he did and why they (university officials) were to partially to blame for what transpired.
Man we could use another leader like that! |

I would have to know more details, but as one who affirms human dignity and the right of nonviolent protest, I would have to say that the use of police and military force to injure and even KILL protestors is absolutely unAmerican in every way. If you like this sort of thing, you should really like Trump's brand of authoritarianism. |

different day and age and these people were breaking the law for a protracted period of time, someone protesting at a rally is not breaking the law, at least not for a long time and ignoring warnings. Not the same thing as RS is trying to make it.
I agree with QW here too, a little too authoritarian for my taste, what if you agreed with the protesters, say they were in a government building in Nevada protesting government seizure of lands??
but like I said, a different day and age. |

Perhaps it was the wrong decision. It was a different time though. There was a lot of protesting going on. I think many folks thought it could get out of hand when they saw the riots in Watts (Los Angeles etc. ) But right or wrong he made a decision and explained to those college officials why and where they came short.
I was 6 years old so I really did not know a whole lot of what was going on then, but I do know there were a lot of protests going on.
It is kind of like the argument someone was trying to make about Reagan and Bush standing up for illegals. Today is a different time! |

It is always a different day and time. This kind of heavy-handed tactic is inappropriate and unAmerican, whichever day or time it happens. |
