Post Drudge ridicules Ted Cruz's father for speaking in tongues UncleJD
I'm so done with the Drudge report and most of the Trumpers for their complete hatefulness, whether its punching a protester in the face and threatening to kill him, or being sudden experts on what it means to be a conservative (you know the ones who've never voted or heard the word mentioned more than twice), and now this. Drudge has been pushing Cruz hit pieces for the last 2 weeks (at least), now its an hourly thing with them. Just when I had decided to soften my stance against Trump, things like this come out and solidify it. More than ever I don't see how any Pentecostal could ever support these people.

Almost every time I see a link on Drudge that catches my interest, it winds up going to Daily Mail (British tabloid) or InfoWars (Alex Jones' crazy website). That was enough for me... almost every time I saw something interesting or unique, it was a link to a non-credible source. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

That's true, I've always put on my waders when on that site, but this is way beyond that. I've been slow to take the "You can't be a Christian ..." but this? Just which crowd is Drudge trying to appeal to with this? A bunch of atheists? That's the only thing I can think of. Most people of faith may not agree with tongues, but have enough respect for others that they don't attack them on it (most, not all). It sounds like Drudge is trying to appeal to people that don't even read their page at all. I just don't get it, its disgusting really. They aren't winning anyone over to their lord and savior's side with this. I was really thinking that if he wins the nomination I might be able to hold my nose, but I see more and more of this every day that pushes me away. Oh well. The Republican party has been pushing me away for 8 years no, this is nothing new. Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere

Agreed. Despite what I said, I still check Drudge now and then... as with you, this is the end of that for me. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

I was very curious, because I had always heard that the Cruz family were Southern Baptist, so I watched all the videos. Though the churches depicted were charismatic (Word of Faith and Dominionist in theology to be precise) I did not see or hear any speaking in tongues in any of the videos Drudge posted. no, just another hit-piece. They aren't above lying about Ted Cruz or Rubio if it will help their master. But even if it is true, so what? They are clearly trying to make him look like a fool.

Oh grow up and stop whining, people!

You guys make Christians look like a bunch of sissy wimps that can't take any scrutiny. If indeed things were said as described ("The Holy Ghost says he is the chosen one"), do you not think many would think that is a presumptuous claim? Is it using wisdom to make such declarations? Is it even a good witness?

Moreover, should not Christians question this? Are we not commanded to not believe every spirit but to try them to see whether they be of God?

The first video Rafael Cruz is in Larry Huch's church. Don't know much about Rafael Cruz, but Larry, shofar Larry, blessings of the Passover Larry, tassel ticklin Larry, Paula White advocate Larry, son, at boys got some odd theology fer shore. Acts-pert Poster

If anyone watched Fox after the results started coming in, they brought this up and how Trump will "go after" Cruz for the speaking-in-tongues thing. One of them said "why?" "What's wrong with Pentecostals?" Then another said "Well Romney was a Mormon", and the other said "but they handle snakes",. There you go, Trump wins, Pentecostals are crazy and just another cult. It doesn't matter that Cruz isn't pentecostal, just the association is worth "going after" Rolling Eyes Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere
