If Rubio wins, nothing changes. Cruz will not be the Nominee. |

What a nice young man, brilliant, articulate, young, handsome, nice family, cute kids, lovely wife AND he loves the Lord - straight up about his faith.
So, why shouldn't everybody vote for Rubio? Because, he is the Establishment candidate. He will be owned by the very same people who have not done anything for years - the same people who said, "Give us the Senate and change will come." Instead, they got the Senate and IMMEDIATELY passed Obama's budget.
Exactly the same group that has increased the debt ceiling time after time.
In my opinion, Cruz is not the liar he has been accused of being. Some staff people did some stupid stuff. However, SC showed that he will not be the Nominee. If he did not carry Evangelicals there, he will have major problems in states where there are fewer Evangelicals.
Does anybody really believe a nice, young Hispanic man (Marco) will do what's needed on immigration? That would be like slapping his Mother. That won't happen.
With all the other candidates, I know what will happen - the same stuff that has been happening. In my opinion, only Trump has the clout to bring real change in how the country does business. I think only he has the clout and business knowledge to bring down the 20-tril deficit.
With Trump, there is at least a chance that new things will happen. I believe he will do everything he can to help the country. His family lives here too. His friends live here too. Most of his business is here. His home is here.
Do I particularly like him? No, but for the sake of the country, I will hold my nose and most likely cast a vote for Trump. We need a powerful leader. His hotels are some of the best run in the nation and world. That is at least a sign that he knows how to build a business and run things well. Most of his employees say they like him. Imperfect though he is, he is a family man and "claims" he will be an advocate for Christians.
I honestly wish I could vote for Cruz or Rubio. I like both of them - Rubio more, but this country is a train running out of control. Neither Rubio or Cruz have ever built a business. Trump has basically built a business Empire. It is going to take somebody strong to get this nation back on track. That's my opinion. What's yours?

My opinion is that there is no way that Donald Trump will be elected by the majority of Americans in November. He has the largest "no/never" percentage of any candidate running already, once the full power of the DNC is focused on him, they will have a heyday. Each new commercial will be as entertaining as The Late Show or SNL.
As for this,

Marco Rubio is Cuban American. Do we have a massive illegal Cuban immigration problem? (not that I agree with his immigration policy, but its not based on his Cuban heritage, the same as Cruz btw and Cruz is polar opposite on immigration) |

I am with you, Doyle.
Everybody said Reagan would never be elected. He was.
Once these primaries are over, and there is nothing left for the American people to see but a side by side comparison of Trump and Hillary's differing visions for America, Trump will wind up winning by a landslide. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

I hope Rubio or Cruz gets the nod. I think either will come thru. My opinion, Marco could work with congress. But with Cruz Congress would act like the 'donkey' and stop him at every turn because of his history with congress.
Most folk on this board seem to think Carter was the worst president EVER. but that reputation was fostered by HIS congress who balked and blocked him at every turn and the military that let him down on a rescue attempt.
I think Cruz would suffer the same fate.
I write here, FRUSTRATED, because I have on idea what is the best for me as a citizen. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

I would go along with that assumption JD, if every time the foolish guy had opened his mouth I have said, "THAT's IT this will take him down in the polls" and he has went up.

Yes I believe that he can do this but I'm afraid he will do as the governor of Illinois has done , driving us closer to bankruptcy. Nothing is being paid other than salaries , the controlling democrats in office are balking at everything the Gov. wants to do and are not passing any budget of any type until he crumbles. Which will not happen.
The Point being , the Gov. will get his way or we will all sink. |

I have a problem with it to but not as large as the hillary problem.
And I do want to send a message to the republicans. |

I'm sure they are getting the message loud and clear.
We rarely get many commercials in Texas since our minds are usually 100% made up long before the election, but I have seen 3 Rubio ads today. They said something that made me laugh a little, something like "Proven Conservative who will stand up to the establishment" --- Oh really? You mean like Cruz who stood ALONE on the floor of the Senate and called out the leadership for their lies on the immigration bill? Nope, not like that obviously.
Yeah, I think they got the message. Now do they plan to do anything about it or just lie, that's the question. |
