Looks like Christians are just as mad at the GOP establishment and everyone else. Hope to see Trump in the Whitehouse.

I don't get the endorsement of Trump by evangelicals. My non Christian friends are asking me and I have no answer. It's humiliating. Acts-pert Poster

It's not that hard to figure out. Trump may actually preserve our religious liberty unlike the G.W. Bushes of the world that did nothing when the name of Jesus was no longer allowed to be invoked by military chaplains.

I agree

I wonder how many "Evangelical Christians" actually prayed about their choice?

Evangelicals, the election, Trump, the Christian reaction to Trump, why Christians like Trump, why Christians don't like Trump, should Christians like Trump, non-Christians that don't understand why Christians like Trump, why Christians like other candidates, why Christians don't like other candidates, which candidate(s) Christians should like, how faith should inform our politics, how faith shouldn't inform our politics, etc, etc...

The "topic" for any thread is extremely broad. For a post to be deleted (this is only the third time it has occurred since we announced the policy some months ago) it must be something completely unrelated to anything even close to the topic at hand, and not only that, but be something that threatens to overtake the topic at hand with something completely unrelated.

Here's the easy answer for your friends Eddie:
The Pope hates Trump - he even says non nonsensical things about walls to get you to vote against Trump.
Muslims hate Trump.
Illegal aliens hate Trump.
How can a guy hated by those groups be all bad?

Evangelicals don't believe anyone else anymore. Rubio can look you in the eye - and lie to you. It does not matter what he says - he will go along with the Chamber of Commerce on everything - just like most every other Rino has done.

Republican Christians are the counterparts of African Americans in the democratic party.

We get lip service - and they get 80% of our vote - and they don't feel they have to meet our requests once they get elected. Oh, we get an Obama phone thrown our way - but on substantive matters - we get NOTHING.

I am tired of voting and giving money to candidates that do not do what they tell me they will do.

I believe Trump is the one guy that may feel like he has to earn my vote. If he votes like McCain, McConnell, Boehner and Rubio - I am out nothing...but there is at least a chance he may vote for something I want.

If Trump falters - I will go to Cruz - I figure he is hated by all the Rinos for a reason. If Carson is still around I will give him third chance - as I feel he is the one true Christian in the race of either party. No other Republican will get my vote.

If Rubio gets nominated - I will actively campaign to make sure Florida votes for someone else...and I know lots of others that feel the same way. He let Florida down. he won't get a second chance. If Rubio wins the nomination - I will vote a third party candidacy - hopefully Trump.

I was thinking about this morning as the message talked about Saul.
Much like Saul, Trump will say or do whatever it takes to be popular with the people.
Evangelicals, much like Israel will get the king they want not the one that is needed and will reap the results.

As a personal note, if Trump is the nominee I'll vote Libertarian.

Sure - Supreme Court justice names come from only one person.

You might want to read up on the Constitution.

Most of these 'Evangelical Christians', let's just say Chrisitan. Most of us who call ourselves Christians have looked at the 'Christian Conservatives' we have elected and found, like NBF has said, that they were only after our vote. No so called 'Conservative Christian' that we have elected in the last 40+ years, has stopped spending, Gov't growth, changed the waste OR stopped abortions. YET EVERY TIME, WE BUY IT, HOOK LINE AND SINKER. By 'we' I mean the majority of the church world.

Right, wrong or indifferent that is why Christians aren't paying much attention to the politician of today. They are looking at something different. Some wise GOP leader should have seen this last year and given the voter what they want for a choice. BUT NO, they keep saying 'we know best' and folks are tired of it.

Along that line NBF, is absolutely right. I am not a Trump supporter by any stretch of the imagination, BUT I will take him (and his wife) over Bill Clinton's wife who hacked the girls to death who accused her husband of sexual misconduct. NO I DO NOT WANT HER IN OFFICE AND YES I will vote for Trump (and as some of you said about Mitt, you held your nose, so I guess I will also.) Embarassed Embarassed

This^^^^^^^

I voted for Trump and will vote for him as President. Rubio and Cruz are nothing more than hired hands of the GOP establishment. The same GOP establishment that has been castrated the last 8 years and not had the guts to do anything against Obama.

I am not electing a Pastor....I am electing a President.

That works for me.

At least Repubs. will no longer take our vote for granted.
Perhaps a new Christian party will rise.

I agree with you. However, I am not surprised at Pentecostal Evangelicals falling for Trump. They fall for TBN, Copeland, Benny Hinn etc.

Emotional feeling being stirred bypasses intelligent thought leading to flawed decisions. Empty promises appeal to them like the libs empty socialistic promises appeal to the masses of freeloaders who put people like Obama into office. Just look how that has worked out for them.

Trump as president will be like the proverbial "bull in the china shop."
