And you sir, like so many other un-discerning Christians, obviously do not understand the Constitution and how Bush, like most of the GOP Congress, is a traitor for betraying the base who put him in power for specific reasons. |
a person lacking intelligence, and someone who acts in a self-defeating or significantly counterproductive way... card toting, certified... |
I will assume then that you feel the GOP establishment has done nothing to deserve the anger, hostility and accusations of betrayal coming from the vast majority of the base, and that you are an establishment supporting hack. |
To speak of such treason toward President Bush is an embarrassment to your stance as a believer. A total disrespect and disregard for the man and the office. Your impertinence and impoliteness to the man qualifies my definition of you.
|
So do you feel the same about those who accuse Obama of treason as well? By your definition would that not also be a "disrespect for the office"? _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

No shock. You are another believer that has fallen for the false notion that to criticize our leaders is a type of "rebellion" and you glory in the "great restraint" you display. I picture you voting for the John McCain or Lindsay Graham types. You probably also think the American Revolution was "rebellion against God ordained authority".
Well I do accuse the establishment of both parties of being treasonous, constitution betraying scoundrels who should be deported at best, locked away or executed (in some cases) at worst. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

Boy that escalated awful fast! Hi jacked and away we go!
Now I am forgetting the Original Post. One thing I have noticed, if I read here long enough, I get an education.
I knew folks didn't believe we went to the moon, and I do know a lady in Omaha, NE that would have hung Bush if she could have, but of course she was a democrat named Lucy.
But Bush a traitor, Nah!
But to the post, I think we should just wait for another Justice to die and not replace him or her and call it even. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Autopsy shows the Justice died of a heart attack!
But I don't think he should be replaced...... Yeah I know, but we could change the rules, and I think we should.
BTW, I am looking forward to Hillary for 8 years. Thanks GOP! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Cojak, don't you realize how easy it would be to slip someone a drug into his evening coffee that would make the autopsy look like a heart attack victim.
Just kidding.
He was a smoker. Seventy-nine is pretty good for a smoker. |

You now have a 4-4 court. There will be no overturning anything Obama does this point on....... |
I just read this on a friend's blog, does anyone know if it is true, I haven't found it.:
Meanwhile, in response to McConnell, Nevada Senator Harry Reid said it would be, "unprecedented in recent history for SCOTUS to go year with vacancy" and called a failure to replace Scalia a "shameful abdication of our constitutional responsibility."
That is, until Chuck Schumer's 2007 speech (YouTube) was rediscovered where he advocated that Democrats not fill a Supreme Court vacancy until after George W. Bush left office. Uh, Harry, I think that is a precedent.
TRUE? did they wait? _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

I found this in an entry by Alex Griswald dated Feb 15, 2016
......
“We should not confirm any Bush nominee to the Supreme Court except in extraordinary circumstances,” Schumer said. “They must prove by actions not words that they are in the mainstream rather than we have to prove that they are not.”
This speech was delivered July 27, 2007. So Schumer – who now balks at the idea of a 300-day delay in appointing a Justice – would have been perfectly okay with filibustering a Supreme Court nominee for 543 days.
Must be what happened. Sorta hypocritical, but that isn't new! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

So its proof that neither party can be trusted to fulfill their duties. Obama should make a nomination and the Senate should reject it (assuming it is a liberal, activist that is nominated).
As much as I can't stand Obama, if I were him I'd give the senate about one more chance to do their duty, then I'd make a recess appointment.
I hope he doesn't of course, but if a Republican was president and the Dems did this that's what I'd hope for. |
