So you won't vote for Trump under any circumstances?

That would be absolutely true if it were a straight up popular vote...

It isn't. We have a representative democracy. In this case, an electoral college chooses the party candidate and then the president.

I voted for Bob Dole.
I voted for George Bush.
I voted for George Bush again.
I voted for John McCain.

Last election, I voted for all of the local and state elections. I voted in the primary. My guy lost. I did not vote for Romney. He still won Texas. My singular vote changed nothing in this instance. It wouldn't this time either.

With that said, I hope to be able to vote. I hope someone that I can support is still on the ballot when the time comes.

Yes, I will vote Trump if he wins the Republican Primary.

MAYBE a few more cycles in the general (but Texas is importing them in as fast as they can), but your vote in the Texas primary couldn't be much more important.
But soon the big cities will be full of Californians and New Englanders so don't get out of the habit of voting and definitely don't pass that down to your kids.

I respect those who feel that they can vote for Trump, in this situation. I just can't. I like that he brings some issues to light. I like some of his positions, on immigration for example, and his concern for veterans. But I cannot conceive of him representing the United States of America and interacting with leaders of other nations. Too brash...uncouth....a loose cannon.

I just can't do it.

I am relieved, at least tonight, that Rubio and Cruz are doing so well...

My hope is still in Jesus and His appearing- but hope for this election cycle remains alive! Very Happy
