Don't complicate life.

"Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word.

But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.”

But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:38-42

Are you "worried and bothered about so many things"?
Sit at rest with Him and hear what He says.

Post Brad...I preached on this yesterday. Aaron Scott
"One Thing is Needful."

I also spoke of the rich, young ruler about "One Thing Thou Lackest."

WE religious people have always tried to make everything more complicated. I am reminded of attorneys attempting to cover ever angle in a financial agreement when REAL MEN needed only a handshake.

All my life I have heard, "Sure believing on Jesus is simple, BUT that is not all there is to it."

I could try to go on, but you had to be there. In the 40's. At the alter call, a man get's genuinely saved. Instead of great rejoicing, I remember the instructions: Now put your tobacco on the alter, remove those rings, there will be no more swearing, you will not................. It went on and on. The man was still happy, he felt his sins forgiven, so he complied with all the 'instructions' by some well meaning people who felt he should EAT the WHOLE HOG NOW!. But BUT the next day there were questions.... You see I knew some of these people, one or two never darkened the doors of our church again. Crying or Very sad
