 Biased producer of General Assembly |

I was shocked today when the livestream of the assembly was cut off when a brother was making an argument against women being on the council. The biased that producer showed by taking that off the air was unbelievable. So now we have someone making decisions on what part of the discussion of the floor can be seen and what cannot.
So beware if Cleveland doesn’t agree with you they will pull that part of airing from the GA live stream. Agree or disagree with the gentleman that was speaking I thought the live stream was to give members of ministers who couldn’t attend a seat at the table. The brothers argument wasn’t even that far out there. There’s been much worse. He was passionate but it wasn’t inappropriate by any means [/i] |

They literally came on and said the producer made a decision to cut it off. Than went on a speech how the cog is one big family and families fight but you don’t want to show your fights on social media. Made it sound like they was cutting out for the day and said basically see you tonight than went back to the floor. |

If you are going to air any of it you must air all of it. You can’t cut off the Parts you don’t like. We are what we are and with attendance lower than it has been for years and years there’s a greater number of people that rely on their connection to the church via online platforms.
Yes the online was awful and technology was terrible with the voting devices. Very big embarrassment for our church. |

I understand that, and I agree. But I'm very troubled about the young women watching this who are becoming very disheartened about being in the COG, who love this church! We must be wise. Social media wasn't in anyone' mind when these kinds of debates were started.
