Florida Camp Meeting

Just wondering how many went to the Florida Camp Meeting and what your thoughts were about it.

I only went the 1st night because that was the only night I could go, but did watch the rest of it online. Toland J Morgan was the speaker on Tuesday night. He is the pastor of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church in Warner Robbins Ga. I’d never heard of him before, and I admit to being curious as to his selection to preach at Camp Meeting.

There seemed to be good crowds the rest of the week, especially when Tim Hill was there on Thursday when they had to set out more chairs. Tim mentioned several times that they could “vote my hide out” but he wasn’t going to change his convictions. I thought that was interesting since that could well happen in a few weeks.

I have to say that there was one annoying thing that happened each night, and that concerns the men who were chosen to receive the offering. I do realize this is someone’s “ten minutes of fame”, but why drag this out and make a production out of it? I found it very off-putting and bordering on WOF tactics. Just an honest opinion.

So, did anyone else attend, and if so what was your experience like?
