We Christians believe nothing happens to us that surprises God. If He knows bad things are going to happen and allows it...

I believe Satan is responsible for a lot of bad things. I also think we help him along and many times cause out own problems and he stands back smiling.

I also think God 'allows' some bad things to befall us, Not sure of the reasoning. But I think so anyway. Confused Confused Confused

Well, if we believe that “all things work together for good…”, perhaps our definition of “bad” needs to be recalibrated.

Shocked Shocked

In our pastor's sermon a week or so ago he mentioned 'mean Christians', is that an oxymoron?

It is for sure WE will never on this earth KNOW the workings of GOD, His reasoning, HIS infinite mind.
Love ya FL

They would be correct. We are not Calvinists. I hate it when someone thinks that God does everything. And its usually people that would say they don't believe in five-point calvinism. I think they just don't think things through.
