Late on reports.

No growth - ever...no matter how many churches he is moved to.

Always complaining - wanting overseer to rescue him from church...or content to let church gentrify and close its doors.

General sour attitude.

(This thread is hypothetical. Please don't post any names.)

But you do know guys like this...

Yep, I know two:

1. Ole Brother Jim Bob Smith fits all the traits you named above. The ole boy gits in a hornets nest ever where he goes, never stays anywhere over a year at the most.

2. An then they is ole Brother Jackie Jones. This cat is a character. Its gotta be his way or no way. His very first service at one pastorate he told em that Sunday morning, "Yall been used to doin it your way, now we gonna do it my way." I think he stayed 4 months.

What about Mr. Joe Bob Pleaser. He has been at the ----COG for 20 years. He pets the congregation, makes every hospital visit, and is always there for them. However, none of the congregation has gained much spiritual insight in the last 20 years.

He is the greatest, they think the world of him. Rolling Eyes

Rough,
I have found that the guys that FEEL like they are on that list - are far from being on the list...because they will do anything possible to make a difference...for the present and the future.
