Post Trump's new hotel in Washington, is just down the street from the White House (L) doyle
For decades, Washington, DC has wanted to do something special with the Old City Post Office. It is a national landmark but nobody could get permission to touch it because it is owned by the government.

The General Service Administration, GSA, where I worked for awhile, holds the deeds to all government property. They oversee the building of Federal Courthouses and help provide office space for the 280 government offices in DC. The Department of Defense is only one of their customers.

And then, along comes Donald Trump. Working with the General Services Administration, which has around 6,000 employees, he and his team have turned that old, dilapidated post office into one of the city's most acclaimed places. It is absolutely beautiful. https://www.trumphotelcollection.com/washington-dc/

That is what Trump could do for our nation, but he is blowing his chances to have that opportunity by his vicious comments about others and his intemperate remarks. Sad. The nation needs somebody with his business experience, but without a major AND SOON turnaround in his presentation, Trump will not be the President.

The news media talks about "the path to the White House." There is only one person now blocking that path and it is Donald Trump.

You are one very pessimistic person my friend. I do not support
Trump, but I think a Billion is a thousand million. He started with 225 million. I have enough common sense to know MOST of the man's businesses have not went belly up, but produced a profit. YOu do not make a Billion dollars going bankrupt.

Even big ego folks can be successful, look in the mirror. Smile Smile

That is a true saying, and proven every year by some high profile person in both worlds Secular and Religious.

Also, money is a tool, if used properly it can benefit family and friends. If you have enough it can feed millions. Smile

I always find it fascinating that Jesus said "you cannot serve both God and money" We would expect Him to say you can't serve both God and Satan, but He doesn't. Money it seems has a greater degree of danger in our spiritual life than the devil does.

To Cojak's point, its true, Ecclesiastes says "A feast is made for laughter, wine makes life merry, and money is the answer for everything". How do we reconcile the two seemingly contradictory statements?" Simple, "the love of" is key. The love of feasting, the love of wine, the love of money, all would become an idol. Taking them for what they are intended is the key, and apparently, without Christ, its not easy to keep them in their proper perspective. I think there is a Biblical distrust of Godless wealthy people. Without God in His place ABOVE mammon, how does one avoid EVIL????

There is big difference in having money and loving money. I remember Deacon Jones when he was a barefooted boy. In my opinion He did not become wealthy due to the LOVE of money. He did good things with his wealth.

Even pastors today (I hear) want to know 'the package' at the next church. Most everyone wants to get a better higher paying job. Some for the love of money I am sure, but most just to better take care of a family.

Are all millionaires and billionaires in love with money? I don't know.

WE do KNOW that loving money does corrupt many good folk. Embarassed

Just because a person has made a lot of money does not mean he loves money NOR does it mean he has what it takes the correct the ills in our country. The problem with Donald Trump is not just how he presents himself; it's that the only core principle I can discern that he has is looking out for himself.

Cojak , you have to remember , he started out in the early 70's. The start of the economic boom. If any one of us had 255 million back then we too would be billionaires.

At that time I was making $2.19 an hour or a base of around $4500.00 per year. Compare that to 255 million dollars. It was tough but we managed.

And if you make your money like this fact check, then sooner or later it will catch up to you. Makes you kind of wonder about how the rest of his fortune was captured.
