I have great respect for Mario Murillo....a Godly man. Do you speak against him(Obama) and his actions from the pulpit or from a stage? Are we not to be kingdom minded?

Are there scriptural grounds for such?

Serious responses please....thanks....

I guess it is according to what circles you travel in. I haven't met a minister that 'did not' speak out against Obama if they felt like it. Even here on Acts pen names and open, most speak against him.

But to be honest (at least that is my opinion) most of the 'AGAINST' is a political stance.

I knew Pastors who leaned 'Democratic' during Bush's time to speak against him.

If there is any 'fear' of speaking against President Obama it would be in the 'high profile' ministries (mega pastors) and that would be mostly the 'fear' of being misquoted or their speech being taken out of context. Sort of like Nick Park put on about the pastor in Ireland being 'mis represented' in the press.

The USA was headed towards the changes 'encouraged' by the present administration. The positions on "Gay Marriage, Gay Life," was coming, this administration just hurried them along methinks.

But to the original question, most pastors I have encountered have no qualms of speaking their piece about President Obama. Some feel the pulpit is not the place to do it, because it is a political stand and they know they have Democrats as well as Republicans in their congregations. They feel they are not called to convert Democrats to Republicans.

I remember sitting in the First Baptist Church in Tavares, FL and hearing the pastor 'lambasting Democrats', I wondered how many of his congregants would not be back next Sunday. Shocked

While I agree with much of what he said, I take issue with Murillo on Obama's dismantling of America. Yes, that is what Obama is doing, but is that a concern on the level of persecution? God isn't American. Perhaps we are majoring in minors?
