Do you ever do reading and response? |
Dave Dorsey |
I realize some denominations make a religion out of doing reading and response as a large part of every service... but reading Psalm 136 this evening, I found myself wishing we did things like this a little more often than we do.
Do you ever do reading and response in your church? Why or why not? |

We read aloud at least one chapter from the Bible in each service. We have been just having one person read the chapter each service, rotating who reads, but perhaps the responsive back-and-forth would be more interesting and engaging. |

Yes we have been doing it for years. Some see it as dead/dry liturgy but the majority truly enjoy being involved. I love the spirit of unity that takes place when we are all reciting scripture together !! |

Yes, every week. It is the first component of our morning worship services! |
