Post I highly reccomend this book.....(L) Resident Skeptic
Pat Buchanan - Churchill, Hitler, and The Unnecessary War

Here is a brief 30 minute interview concerning the book.

One simply cannot understand where we arrived today without understanding the wound inflicted on western civilization by the outcome of WW2.

Just check out the video before you jump to conclusions.

Haven't seen the video and not jumping to any conclusions. Just curious, if the outcome wasn't ideal, what realistic outcome would have been preferable? I am having trouble wrapping my mind around a better outcome given the circumstances, although I have not had an opportunity to watch the video.

I will say that I could read a reply from you much faster than I could watch a 30 minute video. Wink

In this I agree whether it is this subject or another. I am a reader. I do not despise videos, I just think they pander to the folks who are unable to read. Embarassed

I tried again. What I can tell is very indepth monday morning quarterbacking. Buchanan is a smart guy, but there were some pretty smart guys on deck in the 1930's and 1940's. Embarassed

I read also how it was our fault that Pearl Harbor was attacked.

I personally think every war is unnecessary if every aggressive leader is give full rein. Confused Confused Confused

This video is a synopsis of the book. The book is available on Amazon.

Peel back the layers and you'll see who wanted war and why. Sometimes "good" countries can unnecessarily push bad countries into war, like we are doing with Russia right now.
