 Congress may allow debt collector robocalls to cell phones |

This opens the door for all robo calls. I have an Idea;
Lets get all the congress men and womens telephone number , including cell numbers and start pasting them on adds for vacations , free stuff etc. Just anything that looks like it would generate telemarketing calls. |

| It is for debts. I'm a little torn over this issue. You have a right to privacy, but that's forfeit to some extent when you refuse to pay your bills. As long as its limited to daylight hours then I don't have too much of an issue with it. |

I agree to some extent, but what happens when you are mistaken for someone of the same name and YOU CANNOT GET IT STOPPED!
Actually they know this is mostly harassment when they make the calls. It is their way of revenge, which is not the intent. They know it is just going to make a debtor furious.
My sons name is the same as mine. There was a time he was very lax about debts, we got the calls and they were not ROBO calls then. No matter how many time you said, "This is not me! It did not register."

Its supposed to be for debt collection but these bozos will work around that and turn it into telemarketing calls. |
