Opal Covey is running for mayor of Toledo again. She says she is a prophetess, and believes that God wants her to be mayor. She had a confrontation with an interviewer after an interview.

She seems like she's just an insecure, somewhat paranoid individual, but it would be really neat if he somehow lost his ability to speak or something like that.

Fred was speaking in tongues as well, did you hear him saying "Kum By Ya" at one point. At that point I thought they was gonna git into one a them "Dueling Tongues" or "Joking in Tongues" bits like Copeland and Howard-Browne.

He knew the Bible better than she did and called her out as a false prophet. I wasn't comfortable with his "aweemaway, aweemaway", but have to admit it was pretty funny.

This clip was the first I'd heard of the lady. I don't know if she prophesied something that did not come to pass or not. The mayor thing has not come to pass at this point, but she's still alive (and there is always the millennium Smile

).

I don't get why some people think it's appropriate to speak in tongues in a situation like this. She said something about the man having wrath. He seemed pretty calm, and she seemed angry.

I was curious to see the interview, to see if he'd insulted her, or if he just asked her the kind of tough questions you'd expect an interviewer to ask a candidate for mayor.
