What if he walked into your church this Sunday and asked for prayer what would you do? Acts Enthusiast

I would pray and ask God to touch his life, confirm his salvation, and pray for God's will in the upcoming election.

Well it does seem that most all of them do have a lot in common philosophically. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

They are no different than us. They are star struck. A chance to get close to a star. I admit that I am about some people as well. If someone asked me to meet with Robert Duval, for example, I'm there! They are also hoping that the Donald will contribute to their ministries. Can't blame them for that. Acts-pert Poster

We don't know that Eddie.

Jentezen Franklin - a COG man - he was there looking for a handout?

I don't think so.

Pray the Lord's prayer, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." Cool

I don't know, I doubt if Jentezen would turn down a contribution of $10 or a $million. Even he is not that well off. Probably still behind the little guy from Texas.

Jentezen is a good guy, from a very good family. Great background. Smile Cool

Post he does whatever get's him higher numbers wayne
I saw the video of these ministers praying for him. He had this bored look on his face and continued look around as if this was all foreign to him(it probably is).

I am truly baffled by all the "church leaders" flocking to him. As a pastor I would pray for him, talk with him - whatever is needed to help him but truly do we think that DT has truly changed his spots(I hope so) but I doubt it.

This man is an actor a celebrity, he knows how to get the peoples attention. He is funny to listen to but he lacks substance. He is blunt(which is refreshing) but when the day is done and he does not get the nomination he will go back to his casinos, woman, million dollar whatever and totally forget about the average American.

This verse stands out during this time to me: Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones.

The very fact that DT is a chosen candidate by many Christians absolutely blows my mind. This proves to me that the anti-Christ will truly deceive many.

Interesting question. I hope I and my flock would not be too distracted by his presence there, and that I would faithfully preach the word of God without fear or favor, just as I always aim to. I would of course be happy to pray for him in the altar after I had preached the message God had laid upon my heart for that service. Something tells me it would be a bona fide miracle were The Donald to ever be found sincerely kneeling at an altar of prayer.

Eddie, I agree with you. Some would not admit it but if invited to the White HOuse right now, most folk would accept the invitation. The same with the Pope just like Sis Davis, it is a very good chance that she or her church has called the Pope a bad name at times, but she went!

I wouldn't say star-struck, but I would probably visit with many high profile folk just to be able to get a feeling of their 'reality'. Just because you would visit doesn't mean you are SOLD on the person.

Of course No celebrity is going to invite me, I cannot help him/her. Embarassed

Of all the fellers (preacher boys/girls) I seen in the pics, the one what baffles the ole timer the most is David Jeremiah. All the others hold to some degree (some much more so than others) of woffie thought. Jeremiah stood alone in at camp a folk. Acts-pert Poster

At suprised me, too, Ole Timer. I'd be more suprised, though, if I found Dr. Jeremiah tweetin pitchers of hisself with Trump.

Okay, here's Dr. DJ's tweets.

Dr. Jeremiah cares deeply about Standing Up for Christian values, he was interested in hearing Mr. Trump's thoughts on the subject. -TP Team

Dr. David Jeremiah has not officially endorsed any candidate, including Donald Trump. -TP Team

Dr. David Jeremiah has spent personal time with Ben Carson, and has been invited to speak with Jeb Bush in the next few days. -TP Team

Post Motive renewal
He needs Jesus we all are very aware of that very important fact..

What I am reading here is that for the most part, some are trying to read his heart which is impossible.

Could it be, that he has come to the place in his life that he understands something is missing?

Who are we to judge his motives..

And would you have gone to the meeting?

We are supposed to be light and salt, how can we be if we just hid light and lose the salt?

due to our being tired of Washington politics we have forgotten how this man has made his money.... Gambling, alcohol, prostitution, etc - vices that have totally ruined many families/lives. And, he continues to make his money this way. Are we are willing to settle for anything because we are tired of what we have? Acts Enthusiast

I was hoping someone would post something like this. Just because they are praying for him doesn't mean they are endorsing him.

I'm judging simply based on his own recent statements about never feeling the need to ask forgiveness, just try and make it right, etc. That said, Trump's motives are pretty much "in your face," and not mysterious. [Insert Acts Pun Here]
