Post What I Wish... FloridaForever
I wish we'd overturn the term limits. As long as a person obtains, say, 65% of the vote, he should be permitted to continue to serve. I'd like to see Culpepper continue. Williams is an excellent man and man of God, but for some reason I just like longer time horizons of experience.

As for T.L. Lowery, I think he should be appointed General Overseer Emeritus...FOR LIFE. He is, in my opinion, the only denomination-scope apostle we have in the Church of God.

Post My Committee Picks Looking For Friends
Mark L. Williams
G. Dennis McGuire
Bill Isaacs
Bryan Cutshall
Don Walker

I have never been more frustrated by the lack of leadership, compassion and genuine concern from a Committee in my 25 years of ministry. I think 4 members of our current EC are good men, but there is no strong leadership at a time when we need it most!

Some of the current EC will not even give McGuire the time of day...treating him like an outcast for 4 years. Putting him back in at the #2 spot will give us proven leadership and a man who truly cares about pastors & small churches. He still has a passion for souls and understands the Church of God better than anyone else.

That's my opinion.

Post Mcquire position Listener2
What position does D. McGuire have now? A rather prestigious, influential one with many possibilities for great ministry, I would say, and one created for him. What's wrong with that? Friendly Face

Dennis Mcguire? Right. A leader that can nearly bankrupt us in a booming economy with 15% should be able to help us soar on 10% in a flagging economy. Makes sense to me! Rolling Eyes

If we can be bankrupted by one man, then we are not much of a movement IMHO. Do you understand how big of a coward someone has to be to trash talk a leader and not even have the guts to use his own name. Golf Cart Mafia Soldier
