Frankly, there seems to be a lot of evidence on both sides. I am not sure what to believe.

What do you think?

I believe he is Keynesian. I think there is plenty of evidence to that fact. Acts-pert Poster

If you are right, how does that impact the validity of his presidency? [Insert Acts Pun Here]

It's too late to do anything about it at this point, I would guess. We need to be more careful in selecting our presidents in the future. Acts-pert Poster

Very good Dave. Very good.

Post of the options, Poimen
I choose yes.

I'm not really sure what he is, but I'm fairly sure he is NOT eligible to serve as our President, or something as potentially damaging, since he has gone to such lengths to hide his records rather than make full disclosure.

Choices "B" and "D" are really the same answer.

Peter, even if he was born in America, shouldn't we be aware of any manner in which his Keynesian past might be affecting the way he is governing? [Insert Acts Pun Here]

No...silly conspiracy theories!

He's a very progressive liberal and is governing according to that playbook. He is also suffering from a lack of executive experience. Hopefully, a strong enough message will be sent at the mid-terms that he will have to move back to the center over the next two years.

I agree he is governing based on a far-left playbook. Wouldn't that lend itself to him being a Keynesian? [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Post A written poll has an advantage; (L) bonnie knox
I didn't know how the word was pronounced. (But I had a heads up; this poll had already been done - how embarrassing to the people being asked!)

To answer the title and not the pole, my guess is that Obama holds to any particular economic school of thought beyond borrow, tax, and spend.

And would anyone be a pure Keynesian in modern times? Wouldn't the closest be neo-Keynesians? Obama may be closer to Keynesian than other major schools of thought, however.

If he were a pure old-school Keynesian, wouldn't he be pushing having factories more than he does?

Economics is not my field exactly. Perhaps someone else could enlighten us more.

[Btw, I hear there were a couple of birth announcements in papers in Hawaii when he was born.]

Why do people see an obvious spoof and then give it away? Why not either play along and enjoy the spoof or just leave it alone? Party poopers. Acts-pert Poster
