Post An interesting sexual question. InYouAlone
I was asked the other day by another married member of the church whether or not it was biblically wrong for a married couple to have anal sex or play with sex toys. I had no idea how to respond so I thought I would ask on here. Newbie

Post Do what Larry Wiley
The anus is an exit, not an entrance.

I have no idea why anyone would even desire this.

I know this is not the answer you are looking for, but it is the best I have to offer.

While the Bedroom is private and should be left alone. The anal part is SICK. I can't wait to see the posts on this one, if the Mods let it stand that is.

Post Does the undefiled marriage bed get stained using them? Rafael D Martinez
That is an interesting question. It's one we "holiness" people really don't want to look at squarely in the eye. Until it's our kids who ask the questions, or find the toys in their parents bedrooms ..

The Bible speaks of sexual perversity in terms of "vile affections" (Romans 1:26) and "evil concupiscence" (Colossians 3:5) (a few others come to mind) and clearly, there are sexual practices that are I think are considered to be unnatural in the light of these Scriptures as well as twisted. It's one thing for human genitalia to be used in sexuality -- but quite another for something like the anus. Eck.

The main reason seems to be that the perverted desire is seen in Scripture as a violation of self-control, of boundaries intentionally pushed and shattered since the acts stem from unbridled lust, which is desire completely uncontrolled (1 Thessalonians 4:5). Homosexuality, as we see, is part of that, although heterosexual promiscuity is no more and no less sinful than that, as much as we don't like to admit this in light of the passages in Romans we study above.

The question at hand is what constitutes the crossing over of the lines.

I do know one thing - the marriage bed is based upon sharing, covenant and the deepest intimacy possible by human beings. It is not just the manipulation of sexual plumbing and a burning physicality that demands whatever it wants to be fulfilled. It is meant to be a loving act of joyous pleasure sanctified by God where diversity of physicality is celebrated and respected and honored. If toys factor into the acts of love, who are we to condemn them? If nothing is forced, and the usage is consensual, what's the problem?

On the other hand, if they become the only way to fulfill one's desires in the context of a normal marital relationship , there's the potential that there is something really seriously wrong there that needs to be addressed. God gave us our sexuality for a reason .. not to be utterly bound to the instrumentality of human manufacture.

But ANAL? ewwww ..

You could always say that it's alright as long as they don't mind having sex the same way that homosexuals do. Shocked He'll change his mind. I gar-o-tee! Laughing

The one thing that occurs to me is "what is natural." I believe that anal intercourse has been promoted by the gay society, as a way of justifying their own devient lifestyle. I find it hard to believe that apart from the influance of some material, porn, etc., it would not even be considered. Where would the idea come from. I believe even asking the question is evidence that something else is influanecing the intimate concepts.

As far as toys go. I believe they are frequently used not to add a new dimension, but to replace. I am sorry, but if toys are permissable, why not other living breathing people to "assist or marriage."

Carnality and wickedness are indeed creeping into the Church!

Post What about people that cant perform due to illness rac
A friend of mine is struggling with this issue. He is a Diabetic and also has high blood pressure. A lot of the medications that he takes has had a big influence on his performance. He and his wife both love each other very much and want to fight through this battle. They have purchased a couple of toys and they also have oral sex. They still love each other and do not feel they are doing wrong. I would have to agree. Friendly Face

I would think genuine medical conditions would require additional considerations to toys.

I can understand why people would intuitively reject the anal thing.

But as far as 'toys' go, if any kind of aids are forbidden, what about KY Jelly and other lubricants? Some couples need that for medical reasons. John wrote that sin is a violation of the law, or lawlessness. What law of God is being broken that tells married couples not to use sex toys, or even do the other thing? If God hasn't revealed that it is wrong, what is the basis for calling it sin?

Post What is sex? Runner
Sex, to me, is all of the physical sharing between a husband and wife. Anything outside of marriage is perversity. That being said, I would tend to counsel against anal sex, not because of any taboos that society has placed on it, but because there is an inherent danger of tearing in the colon that can lead to some serious infections.

Sex toys are a different matter. If both husband and wife are in agreement, its fine. Remember folks, its your brain that is the interpreter of the stimulation. What works for some is boring for others.

hehehehe...your pen name and this question are a mouthful Laughing

it would be interesting to me if this was a womern that ask this question. you know, is that question coming from the pitcher or the catcher? I would guess it would be a male.

Toys to me denote that someone is not being satisfied with the original equipment. maybe there is a medical problem or an inadequacy involving the man whether it is a birth defect or medical problem, only they know.

The back door entry denotes more of a "warped fantasy" . or maybe the hand does not fit the glove (too big or too small). in that case do you use the O.J. defense, "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit"?

either way, encourage them to work it out without you blessing.
