Yep, Miss Bonnie is correct on this one. The ideer for this thread come from another thread where Miss Bonnie was awarded the title of grammar policewoman of the year. |

UncleJD, if I wuz really the grammar police, I'd straighten you out on the difference between infer and imply. Of course, I ain't the grammar police, contrary to what some folks say. However, I didn't just imply the thing about the deer; I flat out said it.

A deer ran across the road in front of me about 6:30 this morning, if I had been driving fast, I would have hit him. Glad I didn't, my car would have been history. |
