According to the Minutes of the General Assembly the General Overseer shall be elected for a four-year term, and he shall be eligible to serve no more than eight consecutive years in this office or on the Executive Committee.
According to the Minutes of the General Assembly the Secretary General shall be elected for a four-year term, and he shall be eligible to serve no more than eight consecutive years in this office or on the International Executive Committee.
However, the wording is different for the Assistant General Overseers.
According to the Minutes of the General Assembly the assistant general overseers shall be elected for a four-year term, and he shall be eligible to serve no more than eight consecutive years in either of said offices or on the International Executive Committee.
Here's my question: according to the wording of each of these it is clear that he General Overseer and the Secretary General can both serve 8 consecutive years in those offices, can the Assistant General Overseers do the same? The wording is different for those offices. Does the phrase "either of said offices" include the one they are presently serving in? _________________ Scars are tattoos with better stories. |
