Post Tragic news FLRon
I hadn’t seen this posted here but since many of you know Tom Sterbens, I wanted to share this link from Travis Johnson regarding the death of Tom’s son. Hope this is ok?

I just read about that on FB. My daughter told me. This is heartbreaking beyond words. Our prayers are for the Sterbens family. He was a friend to this site back in the day, and I've met and played music with him on several occasions over the years. Just so hard to think of what this man of God is going through right now, and also his young wife and child. Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere

My heart breaks for Tom & his wife Brenda & their family. His son Timothy was a decorated war veteran according to what I've read. Never met Tom in person but feel I know him from here and FB. Always willing to speak the Word and explain the insights and revelations God's given him. Holding him & his family in prayer.

He posted a pic of his son when he was little, when Tom baptized him. *whew*

FYI: We have never met. Yet, he reached out to me when my wife had breast cancer and prayed for us. I will never forget his example. Acts-perienced Poster

I will add another story here. I remember when there was a big issue with Chick Filet and some controversy over gay issues years ago. Christians banded together to wait in line on the so called christian day and lined up for blocks to express their support for their christian stance at CFA. All good.

Gay groups decided to do the same on another day. Guess what, Tom, if I remember put a ball cap on and went on the day when gay groups went and mingled and in essence to share the love of Jesus to those who needed Him most.

That was one of the top 5 defining moments in my life that upended my theology and how I view sinners. It also was a defining moment for me and my view of him. I currently am in an environment where LGBTQ issues are massively dominant among both teachers and students. Yet, I have found favor with those groups at this point and it very well might be because of his gesture years ago.
