and they don't have a demon, and their own spirit is religious, do they die?

Some Charismatic terminology makes me cringe a bit.

My son says the person is dead, because:
The body without the Spirit is dead!

We are together enjoying the cool weather in Florida!

However, quote my son, You might be convicted of Murder if you can cast the spirit out and kill someone.

Well anyway Hope you had a great Christmas and are ready for the next biggie:

Post there is a difference between a human spirit and a demonic spirit blue
We have not been given authority to cast out human spirits. We have been given authority to cast out demon spirits (even if they are religious). Human spirits cannot be cast out of a person, but must be redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, resurrected from the death of trespasses and sins and then transformed by the renewing of the mind. The human spirit is delivered by a true salvation conversion. Hey, DOC

Have you never heard a Charismatic talk about a 'religous spirit' or 'spirit of religion'?

This wrbsite actually asserts that a 'religious spirit' is a demon,

One of the so-called 'spiritual warfare' practices of recent decades is to identify a problem, invent or name a demon after that problem and cast it out.

What, exactly, is a “religious spirit”? Are you saying it is a real spirit, as in a demonic spirit?
I have always thought of it as simply an attitude. A self righteous, or holier than thou attitude. That kind of religious spirit cannot be cast out but must be nailed to the cross.

So a person either has a demonic spirit inside them or they don't.

I suspect demons laugh at us when we give them names.

A spirit of religion.
A spirit of greed.
A spirit of Seminole football.

All the same to me.

I think it trivializes a real spiritual problem.

Sometimes its just sin - folks driven by their OWN lusts - not a spirit of lust.

Yes. We need a thumbs up or like button.

The Bible warns about the world, the flesh, and the devil. It's not all demons.

Sorry about that. Try this link:

https://www.curtlandry.com/what-is-a-religious-spirit/

"A religious spirit is a type of demonic spirit that influences a person, or group of people, to replace a genuine relationship with God with works and traditions."

Admittedly, I don't see your original argument about casting out demons and the person dies. That aside....

It seems Jesus left a mandate of healing the sick and casting out demons raising the dead...etc.... Admittedly, I'm not doing that but most all I know don't either. So do we embrace the whole bible or parts?
