When they say 'Jesus Christ' as if His name were a curse word |
Link |
Response to 'Jesus Christ' used as if it were a swear word.
I'd heard it in the movies for years, but only this year have I noticed people saying it 'in real life.' Maybe it takes a while for Hollywood irreverence and vulgarity to get ingrained into the language of the eastern part of the country, or I just hadn't noticed it.
I thought of a response to say when people say, "Jesus Christ' angrily as if it were a curse word. I can say, "....is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Isn't it great when we can finish each other's sentences?" |

I remember something similar....
One day, as I was dragging out of the prison (I teach), I was very weary, and I muttered under my breath, "What a day...."
And IMMEDIATELY that glorious Red Back Hymnal song took over from there, and I began singing, "...of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we'll sing and shout the victory!" |
