Post Dr. David E. Ramirez MayB2Day
If I go to the General Assembly, I plan to vote for Dr. David E. Ramirez on the first ballot for General Overseer.

I would have voted for TH but it appears he is not going to make himself available for election this time.

Post WAIT A MINUTE!!!! Just wait a minute... Aaron Scott
Unless Tim Hill has changed his mind, I wrote to him some months ago inquiring about a FB post he had made. I thought the post indicated he might not stand for reelection. His reply to me indicated that, no, he did not intend to take himself out of the running.

Now, if you've heard something different, then tell us about it.

Post The FB post MayB2Day
I am going off the previous FB post he made. But what I read was more than just an indication. He plainly stated that he wasn't going to make himself available.

If that is not what he meant then I am glad to hear that.

A man with your views should do some deep thinking before making the kind of decision you are considering we need real conservative leadership in this moment I am not sure that would be the best choice for what the church is dealing with especially now

In fact I am one hundred percent positive that would not be the best choice.

But that just my opinion

he is not going to remove himself He said that he would rather step a down than lead us deeper into a mess but he has been solid

If leaders at Lee and PTS would get on board with him and if he had a council of 18 and full committee with backbone he would have already fixed these issues.

If you think DR is the answer you have not been paying attention

Post Read a book 2nations
Before you do vote, I would recommend that you read the book co-authored by Drs. Ramirez, Alvarez, and Zaldivar called "The Hispanic Face of Jesus" (El Rostro Hispano de Jesús) if you can read in Spanish. It is not available in English. It will give you the perspective of some of our Hispanic leaders. It discusses various Biblical themes regarding immigrants as an object of mission, and the contributions that Hispanics can make in the USA. However, it also defends open borders and even illegal immigration on the basis of equity and justice. It mentions various times that the US "owes" Hispanics because business companies did not not share their wealth with the people of Latin America. Just read the book or get someone to read it for you. Newbie

If this is true my opinion is that there is no reason that any church of God member and anyone who is not a marxist should vote for DR
that is as bad as it gets

Sadlytrue77, You have a right to vote for whomever you want. What is not right is mischaracterizing or labeling someone without knowing them. It's cheapshots like this that serve no purpose, nor do they advance the conversation. Peace.

It is not a cheap shot at anybody if he said that kind of thing then no one who is not in support of those kind of ideas should vote for him there are plenty of conservative leaders to choose from we need to send every one of these woke leaders packing and if you support him that is your choice too

myself i cannot support that kind of thinking and i will never vote for someone becaue i know or like them. i vote because of how they stand on the issues
