"And Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind.” 40 Those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and said to Him, “We are not blind too, are we?” 41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains." John 9:39-41
What do you suppose Jesus means when we He says:
1. He came for judgment;
2. He came so that those who see may become blind;
3. Those who are blind have no sin?
I think it connects to this:
"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings." Gen 3:7
I think He came to judge that tree that opened man's eyes to good and evil, to lay the axe to it and curse it. I think He came to restore our innocence to the knowledge of good and evil so that we would again have no sin.
I think He wants us blind (to have no knowledge of good and evil) so that we have no sin.
