Who broke the law? As far as I know, US law still allows refugees fleeing religious persecution to come to the US and seek asylum. ISIS has had some of the most severe persecution of Christians in the world in modern times. The issue is, why are they treating asylum-seekers like common criminals?
For the asylum-seekers, though, I've got to wonder, why come to the US? Why didn't they just stay in Brazil or some other place that was more accepting? _________________ Link |

Did you read the article? They have relatives in California.
They didn't anticipate being jailed (and might not have if they had gotten here before the political climate changed). |
