Check out this site. Let me know if this is true?

Post Well../. REVKC
I don;t have a bad word to say with my experience of Masons, my uncle and my best friend are both involved and they do seem to do alot of nice things, but with that said alot of the the things going around have scared me about them, but if we condemn people for a few bad things, than the COG would have been condemned along time ago, Lord knows we have bad apples and bad ideals. If we condemned people for bad things than when I was 11 and slid that knife across my wrist, someone would have never witnessed to me about Jesus and youth camp, and I wouldn't have got saved that summer. In fact everyone has something to be condemned about. I only know a few things about Masons, I do know that they are at least two bodies of masons, maybe even more, and what if all these bad things happen in just one of those bodies than do we condemn them all. Post Well... REVKC
I was actaully speaking of different part and segments of masons, such as the segment that adhere to UGLE jurisdictions (Grand Lodges) or the GOdF traditions (Grand Orients). Of course there is the Prince Hall segment which was until recently just African American.

I also want to add that Free masonry in a whole only has three degrees, now depending on which lodge or segment you are associated with there are alot higher degrees. Now considering that are criticism goes to the events that occur in higher degrees usually starting with the 22nd, than those who criticise the masons, would be completely out of line if only a segments of the masons performed these things. With that said I also want to add that that the names of alot of early Americans are being stolen by Masons today because although many of those people were in the masons it has completely revolved since then. Masonry only had two degrees in the days of of many of those people considering the third degree was just introduced in the mid 1700's.

Post I will never....... sheepdogandy
kneel before a man called a worshipful master and ask for light.

If you are what you say you are.

You did.

Also, about the uncle who left the church.

Doesn't that speak volumes?

The promise of eternal life in the "celestial lodge above"

Salvation by good works.

Give me a break.

If your speaking of my uncle, than you muct have misunderstood, my uncle when he was in the masons he was very active in our church, there was a big blow up about it between him and the pastor, now he is not in it. Now he goes to church but he doesn;t participate at all, and he hits the door before the pastor can shake his hand. Friendly Face

What about the "name of the great architect"???????

What about your "blood oaths" to keep the "secrets" of freemasonry.

Sorry, bud.

No sale here.

I'll give you one thing though.

I am amazed that you admit kneeling before that man; dressed in that garb, and asking for "light" while professing to be a Christian.

Amazing.

Post (Link) Finney's book on Freemasonry TheoloJohn
http://www.saintsalive.com/newsletters/apr-may-00-nl/finney_masonry.htm

Charles Finney, prior to his conversion to Christ, was a mason. He writes as a former insider about the diabolical designs of the Masonic religion.

Post I Think It's Hogwash... Yo Dude
So a particular mason hasn't witnessed these terrible things? Oh, that's because they are not at an advanced enough degree.

They don't see these things at their lodge? Well, that's because they are probably part of a more benign masonary lodge.

The Presidents that were masons? That's just the mason's claiming that--there's not truth to it.

These seemingly good men that are masons? Nope. They are actually evil closet satanists, or an approximation thereof.

Folks, I just don't buy it.

What I see it as being is an amateur attempt to add heavy ceremony and religious-like significance to their club. Kind of like the way us boys used to do the blood-brothers thing. We had to do this, that, take an oath of sorts, etc.

Kind of like a wedding.

Kind of like a baby dedication.

Kind of like someone renewing their wedding vows.

Kind of like all that goes on at a funeral. Or better yet, a MILITARY funeral.

Kind of like joining a fraternity--you go through all these ceremonies and so forth.

Guys, there MAY be some off-the-wall stuff that bears our scrutiny, but from all I've been able to gather, it is mainly the more mature version of a college fraternity. Still have the oaths and ceremonies. But not quite as wild and drunken, perhaps.

Otherwise, we have to come to the conclusion that very few of the men who join are true, involved believers. For if they were, they would surely call it like they see it.

Instead, all we get are conspiracy theories...or perhaps overly-sensitive religious rants that twist harmless, semi-juvenile ceremonies into black masses, of sorts.

And, since I can't believe that virtually everyone who joins is either not a Christian or a poor one...and since I can't believe that the "secrets" of the higher degrees never get out and cause consternation in Christian members (after all, we can't even keep some secrets at the CIA--you expect me to believe these common men are better disciplined?), then I am going to not pass judgment on these groups.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open, but I don't want to wind up like some folks I know who see demons in cartoons, on toothpaste tubes, and so forth.

Post Hey Yo....... sheepdogandy
Why don't you do a little RESEARCH.

It's in the Masonic material.

It's their material.

Their writers.

Their books etc...

Try Albert Pike's writings.

You are obviously a parody.

I doubt that you are a mason.

Just someone wanting to jerk some chains.

So go ahead.

Jerk away.
