Did you hear the one about the "volunteer" who told his friends, "I'm tired of the south, I'm going North and staying there".

He departed for New York but a few days later he was back.

The friends asked what happened? He said, "I got all the way up there and saw a sign "New York - left", so I came home"

Mem, is that what you mean? Very Happy

Memo4 good joke about the numbers - my britches are not even in a "wad."

I agree about politics. I am a red state stuck in a blue state for the past two presidential elections at least.

Then you go and rip off a line about the beam in my eye and the splinter in yours - WHAT!! If you read my earlier posts I talk about overcoming & battling with my own personal prejudices.

Now then oh great potentate of the south that you have judged thusly
about the beam in my eye, please pray that I might receive sight. (that last line was said with my tongue firmly implanted in my cheek, or sarcastically, that's being silly, you know LOL - for those of you south of Vancouver.

Post Listen to what Mem is saying....... sheepdogandy
It seems that here in the South.

We possess a sense of humor.

We rag each other.

Yet, when you pressure us we WILL stick together.

Even with our northern brethren.

Also, look at the statistics.

Northerners have nothing to brag about.

what stats are you talking about. That's kind of a vague reference. I'm sure you're not talking about church stats as we all know success is not necessarily dependent upon stats.

Steve I think he was referring back to my inquiry:

"Sheep, have you seen the academic, welfare, still births, graduation, unemployment, literacy, and other statistics? Just wondering. Not everything is a sterotype."

If you look a liitle farther back in the threa you will find the context, etc.

Blessings

You guys are funny. The southerners are arguing with a Canadian (?) about the north. There are some real charming things about the north and the south. But, what would make for a great conversation would be America versus Canada. Who wants to start the thread about America light?

I love making change in Canada to get two toonies and a looney. The south would love to get a Canadian McDonalds. Their sides should be served in the south. There's nothing like a side of poutine (french fries, cheese, and gravy).

Its funny how "intellectuals" are so smart that they can't adjust themselves to understand that which they are hearing.

I heard a COG Pastor onetime ask from the pulpit "Why was you born where you was?" That might be alright in some area's, but not in mine. Nothing else he said would be heard.

That's a shame, you might of missed something good! Dah Gum.

I guess the feeling may be that if someone hasn't taken the time to learn

proper grammer then perhaps they haven't taken the time to prepare themselves at all.

I have seen colllege graduates who can't speak or write proper grammer; so it isn't only the uneducated.
