Shaun, I also think it's a wise decision to move forward. And moving forward in any situation usually involves change. Some probably won't move with us, but it is each individual's decision.
Another group discussion board I've been a part of for over 20 years did a change like this, and you wouldn't believe all the complaining about the software changes. One of the main ones was that the old software had the first post as the oldest post and the new one had the newest at the top. (Or maybe it was vice versa.) We lost a lot of people just due to the software change. But change is a part of life, and we either adapt of not.
I think we should do whatever is best for you.

That is odd. Thanks, Carolyn, for going out of your way to make this post. I'm sorry for the trouble you experienced along the way.
And thank you for your encouragement. We now have several established Acts-celerate posters who have said they think this is a good move. I'm excited to see what comes of the transition—I do think it will result in a higher quality of discussion.
