Post I am Amazed FG Minister
I am amazed that any Christian could vote for Trump after January 6th. If our government and constitution are overthrown, churches could be locked down permanently! Trump is a liar, a fraud, and a "wanna be" dictator. He has belly-ached over and over about a stolen election. But when he brought his evidence into 60 courts, it was thrown out every time - some by judges he appointed!! I love my country too much to vote for a democrat or a Trump.

The Donald Trump family (not including Melania or Barron) is petty, self-serving, and sick. When Don Jr. made fun of the hammer attack on Paul Pelosi - that was enough for me. I don't stand for anything Nancy Pelosi stands for, but I will not make fun of an 82-year-old man getting beaten with a hammer. How sick are these people? To Don Senior, Don Junior and anyone else in that family that has such low morals - GO AWAY AND SHUT UP!

Post Trump is a spoiler... Aaron Scott
If he doesn't get the nomination, he may go Bull Moose on us. If so, it will cost the country a Republican president.

It took a Trump to do some of the things he did. And I am grateful for that. He didn't care if the Democrats liked him or not; he did what he wanted to do as much as he could.

Yes, he was a total boor. But he did more against abortion than Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II--COMBINED. And they had much better relationships with the Democrats (which may be how they KEPT such a good relationship). Trump didn't mind being the bull in the china shop. In fact, it seemed he almost relished it.

Democrats splurged on antacids when Trump was in office. I like that.

Very simply, as someone better put it, We want TRUMPISH...but without TRUMP.

However, it is very likely that it took a Trump to get these things done. Bush didn't do it when he had a Republican-controlled Congress. Trump did it without all of that--and the foolish Republicans--who never could do anything about abortion except run on it--had to sign off on anti-abortion candidates or risk smackdown.

But I would rather have DeSantis than Trump. But if Trump wins the nomination, I can't think of ANY Democrat that I would vote for over him.

If Trump were the nominee, the election would be like choosing between Nero and Caligula for the Romans who were Christians.

I guess we will soon see what develops. I listened to the speech last night. It was a stem winder. He is right, he is now a politician. He took credit for all the best and promised everything. I had hoped he would step back, but that is not his nature.

I am wondering if DeSantis wants to step into the grinder machine......

I am hoping for something GOOD to happen so I can vote without holding my nose......

Joe Biden is my president NOw.......

I will not support Trump, but if elected, as I have said he will be my president.

On what grounds do you make an accusation that Trump would persecute Christians, blame them for society's ills (like every dem does), feed them to the lions, and make them bow down to worship the state? I get that he is prideful, and very flawed, but in that perspective he'd be closer to Constantine, who though he arguably never became a true Christian, at least made it possible for Christianity to grow and spread throughout the empire by making it legal and ending persecution of Christianity (in fact, very much like Trump when you look at what he did with the courts).

There is absolutely no way the Jan 6 demonstration would have resulted in the overthrow of the government.

To assert otherwise is absolute foolishness.

Trump would rather have the applause of the rabid few than the respect of conservatives.

It's all about HIM, HIM, and HIM.

If Trump is not the Republican nominee, he will refuse to endorse whoever is. Trump was a democrat until 5 minutes before he declared his candidacy in 2015. He supported Pelosi and Schumer with cash!!

He is the most self-centered politician I know. At least 99% of the others (Republicans and Democrats) would endorse their party's nominee. But not the orange crybaby. Nothing but a disaster awaits us unless Trump is somehow sidelined by a true conservative Republican who will simply shut him down. (I hope for a Desantis and Haley Ticket).

Not me. I gave him my vote twice, but never again. Even though I agree with most of his policies, I'll write a name in before I vote for a Democrat or a Trump. This is one of the most unprincipled men I have ever known. Evangelicals were duped!

I will only vote for him, as a last resort.

In 2016, I did not support him in the primary, but did in the General. It will be the same in 2024.

Most of the country hates him. He's won't beat incumbent President Biden.

That is a very hard thing to face, but methinks you are right. I hate to think we have to go thru 4 more years, just to prove Mr. Trump's worst enemy is his mouth.

Hind sight is perfect. but in my opinion, if Trump had congratulated Biden, stepped up and left like a man. If he would then petted his base, the mid terms would have been different and he would have went in with a landslide this next time. BUT that is hind sight.

I don't like to associate with someone with an ego as big as NYC, and for sure I am tired of hearing part of his base (in my family) tell me how persecuted he is.

Anyway, no matter how I decide to vote, in my opinion, Trump will lose again and HE WILL SWEAR it was STOLEN.....

I'm guessing you have not seen the videos of police opening doors and leading people through the Capitol.

I'm also guessing that you don't know that the hollywood producer hired by the J6 committee actually doctored the video by dubbing in sound to make it all seem so much worse than it was.

The democrats refused proper security at the Capitol because their friends in antifa and blm were readying the violence.

It was a setup.

This all day everyday. Add to this, you should be concerned when those in leadership attempt to jail the opposition. We are close to Venezuela.

FGminister, don't forget your party tried to shut down churches.

Post When Did the Republicans Ever Try to Shut Down Churches? FG Minister
I didn't realize Republicans had done this? I know when I was President of College Republicans and was invited to Reagan's first inauguration and when I worked for a Republican US Senator and a Republican Congressman, we would never have shut down churches. As a lifelong conservative Republican, I won't vote for anyone who wants to close churches, and neither will I vote for a pseudo-Republican named Trump. Trump is a populist, NOT a Republican.

By the way, the videos Tucker Carlson showed were the calm before the storm. Protests and glass-breaking always start with people walking peacefully, then they start to run, then holler, then attack. Please don't tell me you are falling for the "calm" portions of the videos. I saw the videos of the insurrection fueled by the rhetoric of one Donald J. Trump. Please don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining! Open your eyes and support a true conservative Republican!

You are just like the democrats. If I don't agree with you, I must not be on your side. How petty. Going to have to say that if Tucker Carlson shows it - he is as trustworthy as MSNBC right now. Emails clearly show he said one thing on TV and believed something else entirely was true.

Hannity too.

And if your church is spewing conspiracy "reckoning is coming" junk from the internet - and I see a lot of it on facebook - you need to stop. You look like fools. You look like democrats.

Post Here's the truth... Aaron Scott
IF IF IF Trump is the Republican nominee, then we will almost certainly have the choice of having someone who is for abortion, wokeness, and LGBTQ nonsense vs. someone who is a complete jerk...but who, for whatever twisted reason, actually tries to fulfill his campaign promises.

Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel--no other president was brave enough to do so.

Trump tried to engage with North Korea in a way that was different than 70 years of complete failure. His might have been a failure too, but he wasn't afraid to do it.

He also would likely tell China that if they mess with Taiwan, not only will we come running, but we will recognize them as an independent nation--and there will be NO GOING BACK to being unrecognized after that (same with Jerusalem, of course).

He is anathema to Democrats. That right there ought to be part of the the calculus we use when determining who to vote for.

I WOULD RATHER HAVE DE SANTIS. OR NIKKI HALEY. But IF Trump is the nominee, you have two choices:

1) Vote for Trump in an effort to defeat the Democrats.

2) See a Democrat elected.

That's it. No Third Party has the firepower to win over both the the Democrats and the Republicans. All that will happen is that enough votes will be siphoned from the Republicans to ensure a Democrat victory.

There is no need for third parties when it comes to the Democrats. They are already so liberal as to pretty much be able to embrace all but some rabid, and small, fringe group.

I don't like Trump as a person. I'd love to see him get that under control. But I did prefer Trump as a president in terms of his policy. I don't know who in the world would work for him, but it's still better than the Democrats.

I despise it when I must hold my nose to vote. I have a fear if Trump gets the nod, we will have 4 more years of Biden. And that with both the house and Senate on his side. Mr. Trump has split the GOP and he needs all of it to win.
This is a sad situation..... Sad

My personal opinion is that there will never be another Republican president in this country. The Democratic Party has become the party of Santa Claus, and Santa Claus has never been defeated. Smile

Since Obama and company control the Democratic Party, I expect BO to place Hillary on the ticket. She will smash Trump or whoever is the Republican candidate, collecting all the votes from those opposed to the Roe decision, as well as all the “questionable” voters the Democrats have been adding to their ranks.
