Post Will You Support Trump in 2024? FG Minister
With all that we now know about Donald Trump, his leading an attempted overthrow of the government, his lying, his failed claim about a "rigged" election (thrown out of 60 courtrooms), his not protecting our brother in Christ, Mike Pence, when people wanted to kill him, and the numerous lawsuits against his business practices, will you support him as the Republican nominee in 2024?

Not me. I gave him my vote twice, but never again. Even though I agree with most of his policies, I'll write a name in before I vote for a Democrat or a Trump. This is one of the most unprincipled men I have ever known. Evangelicals were duped!

I don’t like politics. Actually I loathe politics. That said, unless a true Biblical conservative appears on the ballot, which of course will not happen, I too will have to choose a write in candidate.

I voted for Trump 2 times. I liked some of the policies and actions. I have no doubt there is and has been shenanigans in voting, but I do not think there has ever been wholesale crookedness enough to change votes. In areas like Chicago most of the reported errors were in favor of the way that area would have went anyway. With the thousands of investigate reporters who want a Pulitzer (?) some one would have found how and exposed it.
All that said, anyone with an ego bigger than a rocket ship has always bothered me, whether a friend, preacher or politician.
No I will not support Trump . I hope he does not run. I hate to vote anytime for the 'lesser of two evils...........
Also my dad taught me something. He said we have members of all parties, they are Christians, I love them all. I will never let anyone know my political leanings. Back then most folks in our area were Democrats. But Dad died many years ago. I never knew who he and mom voted for, nether did the members. Wink

He cannot escape that his words inspired it. I watched that on TV and hurt for my country. I am a patriot. I like many others signed and swore to give our lives for this country if it was called for. I could not believe our president would not get on Radio and TV and condemn what I saw. That is MY Countries seat of Government. It hurt. Now hundreds of lives are ruined, poor men/women who thought they were doing right., No he did not lead, but neither did he attempt to stop it.
Right now we NEED a Statesman, someone who wants to tie this country together.... I hope we see one in the next year. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I firmly believe in our constitution and the separation of church and state. I voted for Jimmy CArter because he was a Christian, but once in he was not a great leader. I did not vote for him the second time, but my wife did.

Bill Clinton was a pretty good President, but had some lower morals. He did balance the budget and worked well across the aisle.

Reagan had his faults but was a good leader.

At present I am finding it hard to see real leader in the present climate.

Neither color has stopped (borrowing) spending in the past few years. By the government's lead many citizens have learned to live on credit, even their toys are on the credit. Embarassed Embarassed

I really hope DeSantis is nominated. I even more hope that Trump does not run. With his ginormous ego, I wouldn’t put it past him to run as an independent if he doesn’t get the GOP nomination.

I’ve never been a fan of Trump at all. I very, very reluctantly voted for him in 2020, but in 2016 I voted third party (Constitution Party) because their values mirrored mine and Trump’s only principle appeared to his ego.

Trump did know how to get some things done - usually by assigning the right person to run point for him.

But - Trump liked spending money as much as any democrat.

And most of his troubles are self inflicted wounds. Why? It made me tired. No excuse for the stupidity on tweeting.

He will not get my vote in the primary.

I will vote for the candidate that gives freedom the most chance to work, business the most chance to succeed, and babies the best chance to be born. The insurectionists of the 4 years leading up to Jan. 6 are liars, anarchists, and murders and get no shot at my vote. The fools who swallow 4 years of insurection and lies, but gag on cue from the left will cost us our country when all is said and done. Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere

Grateful that because of President Trump’s appointments, Roe v Wade was overturned. The unborn have been u see a relentless genocide. They are more likely to live today.

The US Embassy was moved to Jerusalem.

He backed religious exemptions for religious schools and organizations giving us breathing room and tools to defend ourselves from the LGBT agenda that is fully activated against every institution…and especially the nuclear family.

Our economy was treated with respect and allowed to work effectively.

If Trump runs, I would very easily vote for him over Biden.

If DeSantis runs, I would very easily vote for him over Biden.

I repeat Travis::::::

We have no other choice! Trump is not a Pastor nor Pastor material. He is about the only one other than Desantas (that's mispelled) that has the nerve and guts to stand up against the others.

Trump will feed off of the anger boiling in at least half of the country.

I'm thinking he will win.

After that who knows?

I just hope that people who use the 6th commandment, Thou shall not kill (abortion) and the reason they vote Republican remember there is 9 other commandments, including the 7th Thou shall not commit adultery and the 10th, Thous shall not covet . . . you shall not covet your neighbor's wife (Marla, Stormy and others)

Also remember 1 Corinthians 13:4 ESV - Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant

Agree or disagree, it is nice to see comments here on Acts. Personally I agree as I have said, with much Trump accomplished (ref: Travis comment) but I cannot back him if he runs again, BUT I must wait to see who will be running.
I hate holding my nose to cast a vote. LOL

Oh geez, where do I begin?

The 2020 election was rigged. But it was rigged in way that most people don't even talk about. It was rigged by Secretaries of State, State Boards of Elections, judges, and state courts that using covid as cover changed state election laws all across the country. No one has the Constitutional authority to change election laws except for state legislatures. Every state that had their election laws changed by someone other than their state legislature held an illegal, unconstitutional election. And that is an undeniable fact. These folks changed state laws on how mail-in ballots could be processed and there-in lies the cheating because under the new illegal laws ballots were counted that would have been thrown out in previous elections. The GOP sued to stop these changes but the courts were too cowardly to get involved before the election. The only judicial intervention was by Justice Alito on an emergency appeal and the democrats that run Philly completely ignored his ruling. Laws and rules mean nothing to democrats in their pursuit of power.

The idea that Trump attempted to overthrow the government is laughable. How do you reconcile a supposed attempt to overthrow the government with his offer of 20,000 National Guard troops on Jan 4th?

J6 was a set-up. That is why both Pelosi and Bowser refused the National Guard troops. That's why Pelosi just happened to be mic'd up that day and there with her daughter and a film crew. That is why the J6 committee is nothing but a partisan clown show. They don't want the facts to come out.

The narrative that Trump was in favor of hanging Mike Pence is a dishonest media creation (akin to the dishonest story that Trump referred to fallen service men as suckers and losers). Like most of the dishonest narratives attached to Trump it is anonymously sourced and even the Politico article that claims it is true says that the story cannot be independently verified.

As far as the claim that all the lawsuits filed by Trump were thrown out. Most, if not all of them, were dismissed on technicalities (lack of standing, filed too late, wrong jurisdiction, etc). Very few, if any, of the cases were actually heard and decided on the merits. There may have been some, but I haven't read of any.

After the 202 election the Wisconsin legislature appointed a retired judge to look into their state's election results. His conclusion was that there was so much shenanigans that took place that he recommended the legislature to recall their EC votes. A judge in Atalanta reviewed 145,000 ballots that had no other votes on them other than for Biden. He concluded that the markings on the ballots looked more like toner ink that anything else. But no action was taken because the reality is that courts really don't like to be involved in elections.

Trump is a business man. Anyone who runs businesses on the scale that he does will be involved in lawsuits. It's the nature of the beast. That's no indictment of him. That is why the prosecutors leading New York's criminal probe into Trump recently resigned. They know there is nothing there and it's all a political witch hunt.

Not only did Trump not try to overthrow the government, he didn't even try to overturn the election (it's the democrats using the CIA & the FBI that do that). Challenging the certification of the Electoral College votes is constitutionally protected. Democrats have done in it in 2000, 2004, and 2016. Several state legislatures had written to Pence asking him delay the Electoral College count until they had more time to investigate their state election results. Pence had the Constitutional authority to do that. That's why the democrats are so frantically trying to push through this Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act of 2022. They want to take away the Constitutional authority of the VP and make the count purely a ceremonial act. But Pence folded like a cheap suit.

The question posed by the OP is, "With all we know about Donald Trump will you support him as the Republican nominee in 2024?" My answer: absolutely, in a New York minute with zero hesitation or reservation.

What do we know about Donald Trump? He is, like all of us, a flawed individual. He's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But, we elect a President and not a national pastor. He's a man that loves the USA. His policies were very productive and our enemies for the most part behaved themselves.

Glad I could clear all of that up for you.

The president DID not go on RAdio nor TV to discourage the attack on the capitol until very late, That is a fact.
I found one statement by the AT about the 20000 troops. Of course it will be called 'Fake news' so no need for to say it I guess, but I did see this:
CLAIM: Former President Donald Trump signed an order to deploy 20,000 National Guard troops before his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but was stopped by the House sergeant at arms, at the behest of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. While Trump was involved in discussions in the days prior to Jan. 6 about the National Guard response, he issued no such order before or during the rioting. Speaker Pelosi does not control National Guard troops.

I have two sons who would say amen to Maybe's comments, but I still disagree. BUT as I stated as for me, I voted for Trump 2 times, I hope I do not have to hold my nose to vote this next presidential election...

I have been told, God is in charge so do not worry.... I am trying not to, honest. Wink

Anyone relying on the AP for info will be left wandering in the wilderness. Their assessment is actually misleading. Trump had no authority to order the National Guard troops prior to J6. He could only offer them. He did offer; but his offer was refused. Pelosi is not in charge of the National Guard. But, she is in charge of security at the Capitol and would have to allow the Guard. Again, the AP assessment is partially right, but misleading.
