Post I will do like other times. Cojak
I believe that are some in the 'ministry' for Jesus, who are like Sampson. Remembering the past and going On, long after the spirit has departed.

It is a shame for sure, but I believe it with all my heart.

You are absolutely right! I'm not one given to change just for the sake of change, but we have to adapt or time will pass us by. If you look at the history of the nation of Israel, you can see the same pattern. God used the brazen serpent to deliver the people in the wilderness, but it later became an object of veneration. We too often hallow the shadows over the substance.

What made the COG great to begin with had little to do with methods and everything to do with hungering and seeking after God. The same things will work for us in 2020. It just might not look like it did at the turn of the 20th century. But I for one am glad I don't have to walk or ride a horse to church!

And I love me some air conditioning in the summertime! You can keep your brush arbors and tent meetings!!! Laughing
