Post Help requested with online giving Preacher777
Okay, I am one of the pastors who wishes we would have set up online giving previous to coronavirus coming our way. We have a lot of older and blue collar people who are not real active and somewhat fearful about new things on the computer.

What recommendations can you give me concerning giving platforms that are easy to setup and use? Obviously if there are some ways to do it without paying a fee that would be great.

I'd recommend Tithe.ly basis. There is no set up fee and only a small cost per transaction fee, which, the giver may opt to pay for if they choose to. 99% of our donors do pay the fee themselves. It is at www.tithe.ly Hon. Dr. in Acts-celeratology

Post We use tithe.ly also jimmyjon
And the platform works well. If you want to add text to give capability it cost 14$ a month.

All of the platforms cost about 2.75% per transaction
Some also charge 35 cents per transaction. Actually one the most obvious ones is paypal. It takes a little more work to set up but it's not bad and there is no monthly fee. We use both plus one that our app company provides.

You might also send a letter our encouraging your congregation to set up the church as a payment account in their online checking accounts which will save you the 2.75 percent fees.

Post Cash App Carolyn Smith
There is a free app you can put on your smartphone that's called CashApp. You just put in your bank card info and you can send it directly to another person or to a church. Both parties have to have a CashApp account. It's free to both users. The one for our church is $churchname. It's pretty simple to use, though I have to usually play around with it a bit since I don't use it often.

Pretty good for a free app!

What can go wrong with that, right? It should be approached with great caution when any such service is advertised in an open forum without any prior contractual disclosure. CashApp charges the sender a 3% fee to send a payment using a credit card and 1.5% for an instant deposit to a bank account. For business payments, the customer is charged 2.75% https://www.trustpilot.com/review/cash.app

I am not 'advertising' this service. I am simply sharing an easy option that's worked for us. Our church has been using this for around 3 years with incidents that I am aware of. For more information, please check here.
