Until recently it was nearly forgotten that the flu ravaged cities and countries. We accepted it as part of a season and a few days of rest and Tylenol, we will be all right.
Maybe this epidemic has served as a reminder of how serious "the flu" can really be,

It could be our meds lighten the symptoms, but people may be calling light colds 'the flu.'

If they called this corona virus, 'The Wuhan flu", there might be less panic about it.

I understand governments shutting schools down, and businesses to some extent. But I wonder if the damage done to people's livelihoods is worth it. If the system of the government printing more money and giving it away collapses, then it might do some real damage.

I believe you are right RR. I NEVER think of the FLU as being a death sentence to some. Just drink plenty of liquids, take aspirin and rest and all will be well!!

Even when this thing started I was saying this can't be all that bad!!! I still am hoping I was right.. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed
