New Ways to Reach Out to People |
Preacher777 |
We recently started being more active posting things that would speak to people outside the church on our church Facebook page. I am surprised at how many people have responded to us. How do you feel about replying personally to people who Like us on Facebook?
Would you respond at all or would you wait and see if he or she ever visits or contacts us? If you would respond, would you send a little note letting people know we are there for them or a church brochure? Has anybody followed up on Likes from a Facebook page or do you know anybody who has used this approach? |

You could put a church brochure online and send them the link. _________________ Doctor of Bovinamodulation |

I do not know what the 'podcast' thing is all about nor the cost. But I know of one we tried to watch and it was so scatteratic with empty space and dead air it was more confusing than helpful.
But that seems to be the most reasonable. Also how much benefit is 'donations on line'? The church we just attended with 10 people in attendance has a webside with donations on line. We wish our local church had that, it would save me 50 cents a month.
One last thing. Our church has what my wife calls a 'Phone tree'. That is one of the best things we have to keep the membership up to speed of service changes, deaths, funerals and special events. There is a regular scheduled Saturday morning call where the pastor has a short devotion. He does a great job at that, along with announcements for the weekend. There are unscheduled calls when necessary. I like that. Even traveling we know what is happening back home. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!
