Post Changes made to Monday night prayer - attendance went up Dean Steenburgh
Just noticed there are a couple of other threads about Monday night prayer but this one is different.
We've had Monday night prayer here at the church for a little over 20 years.
Most the time it's a small handful that have showed up like around 4-10 people max.
We have offered it as casual, come in & pray as long as you wish. When it's your time to leave feel free to get up & go, no pressure prayer time every Monday night from 5-6pm.
Most of the time here lately the group is about 4-5 people & only 2 of us stick around for the whole hour.

This past Monday night it all changed.
While in prayer recently I felt the Lord direct me to make some changes so I got together with a couple of musicians & a worship leader & added some worship to our gathering. I met with 3 of our adults & gave them some verses to read out loud to the people, I asked some leadership to offer prayer regarding some pre-chosen hot topics & we made an announcement about our new & improved Monday night prayer with a new starting time from 6-7pm.
The glory of God filled the house where we were sitting & standing & we had an awesome Monday night prayer with about 35 in attendance.

All week I've been hearing these wonderful comments from different ones who were there Monday evening & several comments were even shared on social media about how awesome the presence of God was in the house.
Last night at bible study the freshness was still in the atmosphere.
The attendance last night was great & every group was larger including kids, youth, college, adults.
Refreshing times really do create a reason to gather some more.

I'm already looking forward to the next Monday night prayer time.
