Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I'm no expert on him, but the few things I've seen posted about him are great. I wonder if his leadership is part of the reason that as many of the Episcopal churches are leaving their organization and joining the Anglican church (again, I'm not well read on this, I've only been hearing about it third-party lately in light of the Episcopal Church USA ordination of gay priests, etc..) Here in South Carolina (Charleston) the most of the Episcopal Dioceses has withdrawn, lead by the Bishop, from the national church. They have been in court at least five years now as to who gets the churches, dioceses offices, assets and the campground (on Seabrook Island). As a whole they joined one of the networks of Anglicans (which they now call themselves instead of Episcopal) in the US. The Episcopal Church (TEC) in the US, in the words of my Anglican friends, is apostate and being lead by heretics. They have abandon the Gospel of Jesus Christ, ordaining homosexuals, preforming same-sex marriage, preaching inclusion and the Social Gospel.

My friends tell me the national church practices a "scorched earth" policy when it comes to those trying to leave with their churches in hand. They never stop taking them to court and if they win will not sell the property back to the departing congregation. In one case in NY, after a congregation lost their building they offered to buy it at market value. TAC would not sell it to them but did discount it and sell it to a mosque. The stained glass windows were painted over, as was the red doors, and the cross on the steeple removed.

So much for hierarchical government, apostolic succession and tradition.
