Did the anti-free speech left wing craziness happen after gay marriage?

Did any of you hear of much of this crazy left wing anti-free speech, micro-aggression stuff on college campuses before the courts redefined our laws to allow gay marriage? Didn't this tide of left-wing craziness get unleashed after the Supreme Court trampled on the Constitution to decide that gay marriage was a Constitutional right?

The other theory I have to what might contribute to it is that a bunch of Internet bullies that grew up online and did not develop proper reasoning and social skills from staring at a screen all their life got unleashed on the college campuses all at once?

Interesting theories. I'd add that the left was coddled for 8 years under Obama and taught that they deserve to get their way no matter what, and that all you need is the liberal court system to force anything through that isn't voted on. Many of those that are screaming at the sky with pink hats on were raised on that system being 12 or so when it started and coming of age just before it ended. So the trump election and subsequent events that were not to their liking has given their elders in charge (the media and leftist pols), all the fodder they need to send them out into the streets with trigger words and dog whistles to commit violence until they get their way. The adults from the left are evil and shrewd, knowing the nature of the petulant, coddled and information-fed, indoctrinated instead of educated, child-classes out there, and pushing all the buttons that have been programmed into them over the last decade. It is no different than 100 years ago in Russia with the Bolsheviks.
